His neck snapped back in surprise.
I laughed. “For the sandwiches. Speaking of which, you really didn’t have to get me food and from Bo La Vie, of all places. Although, I’m not hating it. I’ve been wanting to try that place out for a while and haven’t been able to get in.”
“Really?” He seemed shocked.
“Yea. Reservations are like a month out. How were you able to get food from there? Oh my gosh, do you want one? I can bring it over to you.”
He laughed. “I know the owner and no, you and your friends enjoy.”
“How much do I owe you?”
“Nothing, but you also aren’t getting a knife.” He winked. “Now I really have to go.”
“What’s your name?” I called after him, but he only smiled.
I walked back to the group. “No knife.”
“I love you thought he would just give you a knife to walk across a crowded club with.”
“Yea, I didn’t really think that through.”
I picked up a Wagyu sandwich with truffle and Gruyère and took a bite. I’m pretty sure if it wasn’t for the thumping music, I would have thought I had died. It was the best thing I had ever put in my mouth and that included cock. And I loved cock. Unfortunately, chances weren’t looking great since Derek left. I couldn’t blame him. We didn’t really seem to hit it off, and he was getting hit on every two seconds. For some reason, aside from the first guy, no one else tried to dance with me, which was a bit of a bummer.
“Lizzy. Try this.” I said, waving my sandwich in front of her face.
“No. You have to try this. It’s a grilled cheese, but…” she moaned.
We traded sandwiches, and both moaned in unison.
“Can I get some of that?” Tony asked.
“No.” Lizzy and I both said at the same time.
We finished the sandwiches and decided to dance again. I was feeling a lot more stable and less drunk, but I had a good buzz going. Part of me wanted to test a theory to see if Callum had really cut me off. There was something about him that made me want to push him. Was it because he seemed so stiff? I wanted to see him break?
I felt a prickly feeling on the back of my neck and turned to find Callum’s eyes on me again. I turned to face him, to show him I knew he was watching me and if he was going to keep doing so, then I was going to give him something to watch. With my back to Lizzy’s chest, I swayed my hips from side to side as our eyes locked again. I ran my hands over my body, over my chest, through my hair, and then down between my legs. I saw the fire in his eyes and felt alive. Electrified.
“You’re doing your fuck me dance.” Lizzy said in my ear. “Whose attention are you trying to get?”
“No one.” I said, letting my hands drag over my breast.
“Liar liar, panties on fire.”
I turned around and put both of my arms around Lizzy’s neck and snaked down her body and then back up again.
“Well, whoever the poor bastard is, good luck to him. When was the last time you had a dick in you?”
I paused. “Lizzy.”
“It was an honest question. Vibrators and dildos are great, but they got nothing on a good dick.”
“Hey, ladies. I saw you two over here dancing and thought you needed some company.”
I looked at him and then looked up to see Callum was leaning forward on the railing watching us. I winked at Callum and then put my arms around the man.
Break like a twig.
I don’t know why he even cared. I didn’t even know him and before tonight had never seen him, but there was something about him that drew me in like a moth to a flame. He was gone when I looked up again.
