Sage, on the other hand, wasn’t dealing with the twins and had no problem tactlessly blurting out, “Where did you two go? You just disappeared last night!”

I’m guessing he didn’t hear us having sex… Maybe it’s a good thing that he’s a heavy sleeper.

Unfortunately, Hugo wasn’t around to give him a firm elbowing so Sage didn’t realize he’d said anything rude. I sighed and figured I’d have to do it myself.

“We just wanted some time alone,” I told him.

Morgan chimed in. “Dax was helping me figure some things out.”

I appreciated him backing up my story, which wasn’t entirely a lie.

“Oh,” Sage said simply. “Cool! Wait, does that mean you’re staying, Morgan?”

All eyes were on him, including my own. He hadn’t said it officially, but I figured after our tryst last night that he’d agreed to live with us. But the fact that he hadn’t said so yet planted a tiny seed of doubt in my mind.

If he left now after what we’ve experienced, I’d be heartbroken…

I swallowed thickly, my body suddenly buzzing with anxiety. The longer Morgan remained silent, the worse my anxiety became. From the corner of my eye, I noticed Len’s intense gaze too. He seemed incredibly hopeful that Morgan wouldn’t leave. The two had managed to grow close even in such a short amount of time.

Morgan finally spoke. “Yes. I decided that it’d be best for me to stay for now.”

A quick jolt of excitement gripped my heart before I heard the last part.

For now? What does he mean by that?

But my thoughts were interrupted by Sage grinning and throwing his arms around Morgan, who blushed. “Yay! I’m excited to have another omega around!”

Len leapt to his feet and joined in, beaming. “Me too! Oh, Morgan, I’m so happy you’re staying!”

The sight of the three omegas in the pack made me smile. Even though they shared a common trait, they were all so different, both in appearance and personality.

The twins, who hadn’t been paying attention until now, took their dad’s lead and tumbled over to the group-hug-in-progress. Lupa clung to Morgan’s leg and Leveret squeezed in the middle. Immediately I saw the joy on Morgan’s face. His expression melted, which made my heart clench. He loved kids so much and I was glad he was able to be around them now.

And hopefully even be pregnant with his own…

I decided to keep that a secret between us for now—well, as much of a secret as it could be, considering most of the pack heard the noise last night. Right now, I wanted to focus on Morgan’s integration into the pack. I wanted the experience to be easy and comfortable for him. He deserved it after the bullying he’d endured in his old herd.

“By the way, where’s Hugo and Remmy?” I asked Len after the group hug split up.

“Hunting. Lupa said she’s starving,” Len said, putting his hands on his hips while Lupa grinned at him. She was a growing little girl, but starving she was not.

“Is that right?” I said, picking Lupa up. “She must take after her uncle Sage when it comes to being dramatic.”

“I amnotdramatic,” Sage scoffed.

Lupa giggled as I held her. “No.”

“No? Not Sage? Who then?” I asked.

She shook her head, determined to keep the answer to herself.

I noticed Morgan watching beside me. His face looked longing, like he wanted to hold Lupa himself. I handed her to him.

“Horns,” Lupa said.

“Does she think that’s Morgan’s name?” Sage asked, blinking,

“No, I think she wants to see his antlers again,” Len said with a sigh. “Only if he wants to show you, okay?”
