I raised a brow. “What?”
“Um.” Felix sounded truly embarrassed now. “Dog poop.”
I laughed heartily. “Oh, that. I hired someone who comes in a few times a week to do general yard work and cleans up River’s little presents. Besides, River knows to poop in a certain corner of the yard only.”
“Really?”
“Sure. He’s a smart dog.”
Hearing the tone I used to praise him, River got excited and put his head in my lap. I pet behind his ears.
“You’re a good boy, aren’t you?” I asked him.
Felix paused. “It feels so weird hearing you say that to him after last time.”
“Oh?” I smirked. “Now who's jealous of the dog?”
“I am,” Felix mumbled. “I’m supposed to be your good boy.”
I pushed River gently off my leg and beckoned Felix closer. “Come.”
I felt him stop in front of me. I patted my lap.
“Are you sure?” Felix asked.
“Don’t you worry,” I reassured him. “I can handle a little omega on my lap.”
After a moment of hesitation, Felix sat his ass on my thigh, settling his weight as he tried to get comfortable. My cock twitched at his body heat and scent, and just howclosehe was.
“I take it you had fun with the roleplaying last time?” I teased.
“Y-yes.”
“Have you ever tried it before?” I grinned. “Or were you a virgin to that sort of thing?”
“No,” Felix said. “It was my first time, but I really liked it. I never thought of myself as someone who was into that type of stuff.”
My mind drifted into dirty thoughts, but I forced myself to stay on track. We had other things to get out of the way first.
I cleared my throat.
“So, Felix. Tell me more about yourself.” I smiled. “You know, like basic things we should have known before the first date.”
“Hm.” Felix didn’t sound too enthused. “Honestly, I think I’m kind of boring.”
I frowned. Why was he putting himself down like that?
“Don’t say that,” I said. “You’re the first omega I’ve been interested in a long time.”
“Who were the other ones?” Felix asked hesitantly.
I chuckled and put my hand on his lower back to reassure him. “Why? Are you jealous?”
He shifted his weight. “Maybe a little.”
I smiled. Jealous meant he thought of us as more than a fling. How deep did his desire run?
“Well, don’t be. They were just guys from high school, college… Nothing serious.” I shrugged. “After college I found work as a bodyguard, so I was too busy to do any real dating. As you can probably imagine, dates don’t really like it when you leave ‘em in the middle of dinner to go protect someone else.” I paused. “Then, after I lost my vision, I guess I stopped looking. Figuratively.”
