“Why?” she asks, and I glance down.

“Becauseyoumean everything to me. There’s more we need to talk about. The coin from the last time I saw you...” It’s the first time I’ve had any hint that something unsavory might be happening on Earth, and I need to make sure she isn’t in danger.

“What?” she asks, and I watch as her skin shimmers and flickers. When she looks down at herself, she blinks rapidly. “What the fuck?”

“Seems as though our time is up, love. Get rid of the coin, wear your necklace.” She blinks again as she fades away.

All I’m left with is the memory, my cum on my fist, and the lingering feeling of disappointment.

Would she have let loose with me in any other situation? If she didn’t think it was a dream, would she have opened her legs for me to show me how she makes herself cum?Doubtful.

Time, when you’re immortal, is an odd thing. It moves quickly, maybe it’s the revelation that time is basically irrelevant because you have an infinite resource of it. But whatever the reason, this time without her has been the slowest my long and suffering life has ever felt.

The only thing keeping me going is my realm and the possibility that one day I can provide her enough safety to have her here with me.

As I’ve watched her, I’ve realized how much she needed this time to explore on Earth. She was barely an adult when she came to me. Her experiences in life were limited, to expect her to come to a new realm and basically adapt to what I wanted her to be was unreasonable.

Lilith’s safety will always be my utmost priority, but lately, I’ve been feeling selfish, and the only thing I care about is having her with me.

And now that I know she has some shred of feelings for me, that shedreamsof me. I’m not sure I can just be her admirer in the shadows.

I’m not sure what I’ll have to do to convince her to come back to Hell with me, but besides compromising her safety, I’d give her just about anything.

“Sir,” Toth says from my library door.

“Yes?”

He plops a file down in front of me, and my brows furrow as I read over the document.

“We need to handle this,” I say, looking at the amount of possessions and deaths.

“I was going to put a team together.”

“Daxaddon and Asmodeus will do.”

“Kas has been looking for work,” he comments, and I want to roll my eyes. But perhaps making sure that Kas is preoccupied is a way to get more time with Lilith.

“Fine, but don’t let them know of each other.”

Toth smirks and nods his head. He doesn’t leave, and I tilt my head in question.

“Something feels off about this,” he says, and I look back down at the file. It is peculiar to have a demon do this many possessions instead of sticking to one vessel. Why do they keep killing them?

“What are you thinking?” I ask, but he shakes his head.

“I’m not sure, but it feels off.”

“Set a meeting with Daxaddon and Asmodeus so they understand the importance of this mission.”

“Yes, sir,” he says, nodding and leaving.

I scrub my face and read over the file again. The demon doing these deeds must be unhinged or perhaps more powerful than any I’ve seen in the past few centuries if a human vessel can’t hold them.

I place the file to the side and fill a glass of whiskey. All I can do is remember last night. the way she looked at me and spoke to me, the way she has doubts about how I feel about her.

I plan on making sure she knows just how much I care for her.

Exactly how do I plan on doing that?I have no fucking clue. But perhaps I need to upgrade from stalking from the shadows to stalking right in front of her face.
