“Whatever you want in this life, I want to do it with you, fiancée.”

“Then you better get us out of here soon, because I have plans, devious plans with my fiancé for the night.”

“Is that a threat?” I joke.

“No, that’s a promise.”

I grin at her and grab her nape, kissing her hungrily and inappropriately in public. This woman is my world and no matter where the future leads us, I know that we have each other and I can always trust her with my heart. I’ve promised to protect her and love her forever, and she has promised me a love I never thought I deserved or could have imagined.

Chapter 29

Epilogue

Livtakesherjobas my maid of honor seriously. She’s fixing my veil and making sure that my train is flat as we wait in the solarium of her house.

We wanted something small. Something that was just for us and the people we love. Not something that the media could get their hands on and twist to their liking. The first person to post about our wedding is going to be me. My heart is beating a million beats per minute in excitement.

Liv lifts my boobs and I stare down at her. “Liv,” I scold her.

“You’re right, you’re right, they’re perfect.” She steps back appraising my dress.

“Thank you for everything. All the planning, it’s beautiful.” The gardens of the Sørensen estate are unreal, and as soon as I saw it and mentioned how spectacular I thought they were, Liv immediately suggested that this is where we should get married.

“I had so much fun doing it. God, Cami, you look so beautiful.” She kisses my cheek and turns to grab our flowers from a table.

“Thank you,” I tell her as she hands me a bouquet and my mom finds her way to us. She looks amazing in a knee-length purple dress that has silver appliques down the side.

My mom takes my hands in hers as she takes in my dress and face. Her eyes water, but she holds it together. “You look so beautiful, honey. I know it should be your dad walking you down the aisle. But thank you for giving me this honor.”

I fan my face to stop myself from crying and messing up my makeup. “I love you, Mom.”

“I love you too. Now, let’s get you married so you can stop living in sin with that man down the aisle.”

Liv laughs as the music starts and she walks down the aisle first. Everyone stands and my mom’s arm is looped around mine as we walk down to meet Smith. He looks stunning in a tuxedo against his long, solid frame. His hair is tamed and tucked behind his ears. He smiles widely as he sees me. His green eyes gleaming and his hands clasped together. Kelsey stands beside him in a similar shade of blush that Liv is wearing.

When I finally reach him, my mom puts my hand in his and he kisses my mom on the cheek. We didn’t go the conventional route for our ceremony. We wanted to just express our feelings for each other and have the officiant make it legal. Smith and I stare at each other as the officiant greets our guests and starts the ceremony.

“Our couple would love to share their vows with you. Smith,” the officiant says. We made sure that he only called him by the name he likes to be called.

“Cami, you brought a light into my life that I never thought possible. I vow to love you above all else. Be your protector, lover, and best friend. I vow you will never walk through this world alone and that wherever you go, I will happily follow. You captivate me every day with how beautiful you are, but what really made me fall in love with you is your big heart and joy for life. Thank you for showing me what true love is. I promise to be an Alpha and a husband worthy of you, and to buy you all the candy and pho your small frame can handle.”

The crowd laughs, and he uses his thumb to wipe away a rogue tear from my face. I clear my throat.

“Well, now that I get to follow up after that.” The crowd laughs again and Smith holds my hand tighter.

“Smith, you came at a point in my life where I needed someone who was there for me, who had my best interest at heart. Even when you were being grumpy, you always put me first. You always protected me and made me feel I was important and that my feelings were valid. If I had to pinpoint the moment I fell in love with you, I think it was the day you held me after I got the worst news as an Omega. I’ve never felt safer in an Alpha’s arms. You have always been enough, and I can’t imagine navigating life with anyone besides you. I vow to you to make sure you know how much I love you and to make sure you always know how cherished you are to me. I promise to tease you, love you, and be your best friend for the rest of our lives.”

Smith’s watery eyes meet mine. I can hear Liv sniffling behind me as the officiant tells us he can now kiss the bride.

Smith scoops me up in his arms, crashing his lips against mine. The crowd cheers, and Smith smiles against my lips.

“What now, Wife?”

“Whatever we want, bonded,” I say, smiling at the man who has become my everything.

The reception has gotten out of control. Liv is making out with Dean on the dance floor as River grinds himself behind her. Kelsey has been missing in action for the last hour; she had two plus ones. Dom also had a plus one. We’re still confused as to what is going on there.

“So much for our maid of honor and best man—woman.” I scoff at Smith at our sweetheart table. Part of me is jealous that I’m not dry humping my husband on the dance floor.
