“Yes Bitch. I have always hated you, your brother and that ho ass mother of yours.” Before I could stop it, Kateri ran from behind me and was whooping Victoria’s ass. I turn to get Felix to help and that nigga was recording.
“Kateri if you lose my kid we’re gonna have a problem.” I pulled her off Victoria. She was ready to kill her.
After she took a shower I made her take three pregnancy tests and all of them returned as a positive. We hadn’t toldanyone yet because she wanted to have a dinner and make it more of a surprise. I didn’t care as long as she was happy.
“Kid? You’re having a baby with that bitch. Wait! Did you know she was my sister? That’s grimy as hell Cairo. You left me down here for years over Glenn and you do the same thing.”Victoria had some nerve tryna make me feel like the villain. And besides, had I known Kateri was her sister, she would’ve been dead too.
“Bitch the difference was that I knew who Cairo was and that you were his ex. None of his family showed up to that fake ass wedding because they hated you.” My girl shouted.
“Say what now?” Kateri shocked the shit outta me. All this time I was trying to figure out ways to tell her and she knew.
“I didn’t know at first until we were at your mom’s party. My brother mentioned the wedding and your cousins kept bringing up how they hated your ex Victoria. Sariah asked what was her last name and that’s how I found out.” She quickly explained how my cousins were going in about Victoria and how happy they were she was no longer around.
“Why didn’t you say anything?” Now I wanted to know why.
“Do you remember that was our first night together. I wasn’t messing up our evening discussing some ho ass bitch you used to fuck with.” Kateri was really on one right now and that shit was turning me on.Felix was in the corner cracking up.
“You can have my seconds bitch.” Victoria yelled.
“Seconds, never. I will always be his first because in about one minute, I’m going to take your life and you won’t even be a memory of his.” Kateri asked for my gun.
“Oh shit. Hand it to her, Cairo.” Felix was egging her on.
“What? You don’t want me to kill her.” Now Kateri was mad at me.
“You’ve never taken a life and I don’t want you dealing with no nightmares.” It was true. Taking someone’s life can haunt aperson.She wasn’t suffering from any regarding the shooting on her but taking a life was different.
“She’s been a nightmare for me and my family for years. Making sure she can’t any longer, will surely bring me sunny skies.” Felix thought it was hilarious. Handing over the gun after removing the safety, I watched Kateri walk straight up to Victoria.
“Cairo let you suffer for way too long down here. I’m here to set your ungrateful ass free.” Victoria went to speak and Kateri pulled the trigger. My ex’s brains were all over the ground.
“I’ll give you two a minute.” Felix left us alone.
“Here.” Kateri handed me the gun and attempted to walk away.
“Thank you.” I pulled her close and into my chest.
“I knew you couldn’t do it. That’s why you brought me here.” Kateri was smart as hell and I knew she’d catch on.
One day we were talking and I asked about her family. She mentioned her father missing in action and how her two sisters hated them. She said they’d harass them any chance they got, tried to get all of them fired from their jobs, flattened their tires, sent them death threats and the list went on and on. A lot of childish shit, yet and still Kateri came out on top.
She asked about my ex and I was honest by telling her, she’d never be around again not once mentioning her name. I also voiced wanting her dead but couldn’t find it in me to do it. I also said if someone else took her life I’d be ok with it and what do you know, Kateri was able to read between the lines.
“You think you’re smart.” I lifted her in my arms. She stopped me from walking and had me look at her.
“I’m very smart and in love with you, Cairo which means whoever you hate, I hate. If you have beef, I have that same beef. We will be one soon once we walk down that aisle and I want you to know I’ll never leave or cheat on you. You’re the onlyman for me and that won’t ever change.” When I say Kateri was made just for me, I meant that. Those words hit deep and a nigga wanted to marry her right then and there.
“Cairo Romano, you’ll never have to worry about someone not having your back because I’ll be everything you need.” I knew she meant every word. I wouldn’t allow her to get into any conflicts regarding me but it was good to know where she stood.
“A’ight you two. Let’s go.” Felix was talking shit as we walked out. Kateri wanted me to hold her all the way to the car. Felix talked more shit and I didn’t care. My girl did something for me that I couldn’t so she could get whatever she wanted.
Once we were in the car, I sent out a few messages on where to meet me in the morning. Kateri asked me to stay in with her for the rest of the day and I had no problem doing so.
“Let’s get this over with.”I told the guys walking into the place to take one last life for the week. I had no plans of being here longer than needed.
As we headed down the hall and into the place holding this bitch, Kateri sent a message asking for her favorite food. She knew where I was going and told me to make her suffer. Little did she know, Manny had already been doing so.
