“Cairoooooooo.” I heard footstep running behind me. Turning around to see what she wanted, my sister stopped Victoria in her tracks.
“I think the fuck not.” Rosalina put her foot out and tripped her. Making my way out the back, Emily was right there. As my driver pulled up, I told Emily her services were no longer needed and put a bullet in her head. She was loyal to me for sure but Victoria was her best friend and I still saw it as betrayal.
“Where to?”
“Home to change and then the club.” As he pulled out the parking lot, I saw the church going up in flames. I smiled because the news would have a field day with this and I couldn’t wait to watch; but first let me finish my business for the night.Making a call to my boys in law enforcement, I asked them not to inform any news outlets. I didn’t want anyone to know what happened yet and it interfere with my next stop.
“Damn,it’s a lot of freaky looking bitches in here tonight. I wonder which one down for a threesome.” Manny was always looking for a good time everywhere we went.
“We not here to have fun.” Raul was the more serious brother. Although, he had his moments too when it came to women. It’s the reason he was in a love triangle now.
“Right through here Cairo.” The bouncer at the club escorted us in through the back to stay incognito. I didn’t want the person I’m here for to get scared and leave before we could have a few words.
“Damn, this suite is nice as hell.” Felix went straight to the window and looked down into the crowd. It was a big venue and the area we were in was pretty high and no one could see us.
“Compliments of the owner.” The bouncer pointed to the unlimited amount of food and drinks on the other side. The guyswent over to grab something to eat but my focus remained on who I was here for.
Standing at the window watching the first act on stage, had me wondering how he even made it there. His raps were corny and you heard more auto tune than the person’s voice. Once he finished a comedian walked out to introduce the next person. As he stepped on stage, I took a sip of the drink Felix just passed me and waited.
Five minutes into his performance, that same comedian walked back on stage interrupting the guy. The crowd was booing and trying to figure out why he stopped the show in the middle of the song.
“Hold on y’all. I was told to hand this envelope to G- Man.” That was Glenn’s stage name. It was corny as fuck but hey, it’s what he liked.
“What is this?” Glenn removed the envelope from his hand, opened it and the way his eyes grew put a smile on my face.
“What does it say? Nigga, you look scared as hell.” The guy snatched the paper out his hand.
“You’re gonna die.”The guy recited what he read.
Those were the only words on the paper. There was no need to write anything else. Glenn may have been stupid for sleeping with Victoria but he knew exactly who sent that: especially since I made sure the entire arena was dark and my section was lit up and shown on the Jumbotron. I even lifted my glass to let Glenn know I was going to drink to his death.
After the man recited what was on the paper again to make sure he read it correctly, he slowly moved away.
The camera guy focused back on Glenn’s reaction and the fear in his eyes, the way his chest was rising up and down fast and the way he looked around for help was all I needed to see.
“What the hell is this and who after you?” He tried to laugh off his own fear but it was clear as day how scared he was.
“Please don’t. Please don’t hurt us.”As the woman’s voice came on the Jumbotron, a live video was played from a warehouse that held every one of Glenn’s family members down to the cats and two fish his mother had at her crib. She was one of those older women who had at least eight cats.
“This is courtesy of the DON.” One of my guys said on camera and within thirty seconds, everyone in that warehouse was dead.
Each one was riddled with bullets from an AK-47. Their bodies were shredded apart as the crowd watched probably thinking it was a ghetto ass video made for Glenn but he knew just how real it was. Oh, how I enjoyed seeing people watch their family receive their repercussions.
“I’m sorry Boss. She came on to me and—” Glenn spoke on his mic looking up to where the Jumbotron previously showed me but it didn’t matter because that bullet pierced his skull so fast that he had no time to finish his sentence.
“Damn. Why you ain’t let him finish?” Manny laughed stuffing nachos in his mouth. Raul was sitting down next to me fucking up some chicken wings and Felix kept his eyes on the stage with me.
“I’m not finished.” A smirk came across my face as Glenn’s help was being murdered right next to him. Granted, it was supposed to be his manager and entourage but why not leave a lasting impression.
When the audience realized it was real and not a video in the making, the audience had gone into a panic. It caused a stampede and once the lights came on you could see all the chaos.
Unfortunately, Glenn got more people hurt than just Victoria and her family. He knew firsthand not to fuck with me but he allowed his dick and my ex to get in the way. In my eyes, Glenn felt he was untouchable since I allowed their rendezvous to goon for a few months. Little did he know, his expiration date was already set in stone.
Due to me having other shit going on at the time, the best thing to do was wait. That way, I would be able to make a public statement and I’d say tonight it was made.
“Y’all ready.” I did what needed to be done and was ready to go home. No need to stick around knowing I’m the reason for everything going on.
“Yup but I’m taking some of this food.” Manny yelled, asking the people working for some Tupperware or extra plates. Raul and Felix did the same making me laugh. Those were my brothers and I’d kill anyone for fucking with them as well. Watching them act like heathens and cursing each other out; I answered my ringing phone.
