Smirking, Hunter claimed the seat his mate had just vacated, watching Fionn paw through a large pile of golden artifacts. It didn’t matter how long it took, he’d pass the time looking at his mate’s perfectly round ass bobbing up and down as he searched for the perfect gift.

“Arghaaaaaa.”
Colton’s eyes shot open. What the hell was that?Searching the darkness for the cause, his eyes finally landed on Ian just as his mate grabbed his stomach.
“Arghaaaaaaaa. Fuccckkkk. Colton!”
Sitting up quickly, Colton flipped on the beside lamp before turning back to his mate. “Ian…what’s the matter?”
“It’s the pups…they’re coming….arghaaaaaaaaaaaa.” Ian began panting as the pain grew. “Get Mac! Now! Arghaaaaaaaaaa!”
Panicking, Colton jumped out of bed, heading for the door until another howl of pain, longer than the others came from his mate. “Fuck!” Turning around, Colton hurried back to Ian. Finally, his training kicked in. Placing his hand on Ian’s stomach, he waited for the next contraction.
“Arghnaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”
Shit…Ian is right…our pups are coming!“Hang on, babe.” Grabbing his phone from the bedside table, he called Mac, growing impatient as the phone rang several times. Glancing down at his mate, Colton saw beads of sweat forming on Ian’s forehead as he struggled to cope with the pain of the contractions. He was just about to hang up when Mac answered.
“Colton?”
“Mac, the pups are coming…Ian’s in labor.”
“How far apart are the contractions?” asked Mac, getting dressed as he spoke.
“Two minutes. We need to get him downstairs.”
“Don’t worry. Everything will be fine,” Mac said, wanting to calm Colton. “Just keep monitoring him….I’ll be right there.” Not waiting for Colton to reply, he ended the call, grabbing his medical bag on the way out the door. When he found out Ian was pregnant with triplets, Mac devised a plan to cover every contingency—now it was time to put them into action. He was on his phone until he’d arrived at Colton and Ian’s room. Not bothering to knock, he rushed in, heading straight for his patient.
“Who was that?” asked Steel, sleepily.
“Mac,” Jackson said, pulling on his jeans. “Ian’s pups are about to be born.”
Wide awake now, Steel climbed out of bed. “What do you need?”
“Get Dylon. We have to get Ian down to the hospital pronto!” Grabbing a t-shirt on his way out of their bedroom, Jackson said, “Meet me in Colton’s room.”
Slipping on some sweatpants, Steel followed quickly, saying a prayer to the gods. Shoving his memories of what happened when Daniel was born out of his mind, he ran down the stairs to Dylon’s bedroom, skidding to a stop in front of his door. Before Steel could knock, the door swung open.
“Hey,” Dylon growled, pulling a shirt over his head. “So, Ian, huh?” Not waiting for an answer, he pushed past Steel. “C’mon.”
“Where are we going?” asked Steel, following Dylon down the hall.
“Originally, I was supposed to get a gurney and bring it to Ian’s room but Mac just sent me a message telling me to meet him there. I’m guessing there isn’t time.”
“ARGHAAAAAAAAAAA!”
The loud howl of pain greeted Dylon as he entered the bedroom. There he found Ian clutching his baby belly while Colton was trying to pick his mate up. Rushing over to the bed, Dylon growled, “Let me have him!”
“Dylon, get Ian to the operating room now! Jackson, I need you to control Colton’s wolf,” Mac ordered, unwrapping the blood pressure cuff from his patient’s arm.
Shoving Colton aside, Dylon scooped up Ian effortlessly and sprinted out of the room. Keeping his movements as smooth as possible, he made a beeline for the hospital. Suddenly, he felt water running down his shirt. “Mac, Ian’s water broke!”
“ARGHAAAAAAAAAAA!”
“Hurry!” Mac shouted, running ahead of Dylon in an effort to get scrubbed up before Ian arrived.
It took only a moment before Colton reacted to Dylon’s comment. Spinning on his heels, he raced towards Ian, his wolf roaring in anger.
