He smiled at her. “I was when he told me about your encounter and I considered coming straight back and either spanking your ass beyond red or torturing you in some other way,” he grinned.

“But?” she asked.

“But I was still horny after our sexting and I wanted you to be here with me on equal terms not all pissed and frustrated. Also, when I came back and saw how hot and sexy you looked most of the madness subsided,” he revealed, pulling her closer.

“I booked my flight,” she said, making him smile.

“When for?”

“Next Friday, first class and all charged to you.”

He pulled her on top of him until she was straddling him. “See, you can do as you’re supposed to,” he said as she began to grind over his groin, although the truth was she had booked it for the day before as she planned on surprising him in L.A. a day early.

“Still eager for more, baby?” he laughed.

“Always.”

“You will need to wait, honey. You need to go and get dressed before the next delivery arrives,” he said, rolling her off him. “But if you are very well behaved we may have a little fun later, me, you and Bob.”

“Who is Bob?” she asked, confused because she had never heard Jim mention this Bob before.

He rolled over so he was hovering over her now, teasing her between her thighs as he briefly thrust into her. “Bob. Battery. Operated. Boyfriend,” he explained, punctuating each word with a kiss against her lips.

“Oh.” She smiled and tried to hold him, unsuccessfully, her arms and legs pulling and wrapping around him, making him laugh as stood up and put his jeans and t-shirt back on.

“Let me go and fetch you some clothes. Stay here,” he ordered and left her alone.

She looked around the room. She loved that they had a place together, although she knew she would be here alone most of the time. She was glad he had leased this place; it was in an area she knew well, she was close to her grandparents and Lucy. She still thought she had every right to be annoyed with him for just charging ahead and not consulting her, but she knew he would never admit to being in the wrong about it and she loved that he had done this for her.

He returned with underwear, a t-shirt, leggings and two cups of coffee.

“I haven’t mastered the tea thing yet,” he said seriously.

“Maybe Sandra should give you some lessons.” She laughed.

“Shit! Sandra. I have a shopping list from her.”

“Then I guess we will be going shopping at some point. I would hate to upset her any further by distracting you so much that you forgot her English essentials,” said Tasha half- joking.

“She seems to like you now.” He smiled. “After your public announcement on speaker phone.”

She shook her head at the memory of it and allowed sadness to wash over her.

“I am sorry about being such a jerk,” he said, handing her coffee to her.

“We have both done silly things. Shall we call that quits too?”

“Deal. Do you want to look around? We have beds in every room, ours, a double and twins.” He led her into the other rooms, starting with the kitchen.

She could feel she was grinning inanely.

“Do I amuse you, Miss Winters?” he asked grinning back, but unsure why.

“Often, but I like the sound of what you said, ours,” she said still grinning.

“Well, I couldn’t share it with anyone else now, even if I wanted to, which I don’t, not after the way you defiled it. I feel rather violated.” His voice was tinged with mock seriousness.

“Never mind you and the bed. I think you’ll find it was you who defiled and violated me, Mr Maybury.”
