“Make yourself at home. I’ll be right back. I need to use the ladies’ room. I had one too many Bahama Mamas tonight,” I said once me and Troy made it inside my house.

He followed me home from the restaurant, the whole time we talked on the phone not ready for our night together to end. He continued to explain why he wasn’t upfront with me about him having a son. With his explanation and Kevin basically backing it up, I couldn’t do anything but believe him. I still didn’t care too much about him having a crazy ass baby mama, but at the same time, I couldn’t control the fact that I was very attracted to him either. Realizing that his baby mama was my competition, I figured I needed to stop playing games and get serious about Troy, especially since I was feeling him like I was.

We decided that even though we both had to work in the morning, we still wanted to chill together on some one-on-one type of vibe for a little while longer. Tonight, was our first time seeing each other since Ava moved, and being in his presence was drawing me closer and closer to him. I couldn’t lie; I was enjoying his company and didn’t want the night to end.

I used the washroom that was on the ground floor instead of going to the bathroom that was upstairs. I didn’t have a bathroom in my bedroom, but since I lived alone the upstairs bathroom was my master so to speak and the only one that I used all the time. Company used the bathroom downstairs. I rarely ever used it. But the whole drive home, I had been holding it, needing to go since before we left the restaurant. When everything popped off, I needed to go then, but I wasn’t about to miss a second of all the drama that was going on.

It didn’t really hit me until I was on my drive home though. Once I made it home, it seemed as soon as I put my car in park, I could barely hold it. I shot out of my car then sped walked to the door. I couldn’t get into the house fast enough.

If I would’ve peed on myself in front of Troy, I would have never been able to live with that embarrassment. Finishing up then washing my hands, I noticed that Ava had cleaned the bathroom before she moved out. I could tell because she had changed the shower curtain that I had put in it. I hadn’t noticed that until just then. Once I was done, I checked my hair in the mirror, then took a deep breath. My nerves were getting the best of me, and I was feeling a little tipsy.

When I took off for the bathroom, I left Troy standing by the front door. I did tell him to make himself at home, so I went to see where Troy was. I ended up finding him in the den, looking at the wall of pictures that I had of various family members that were close to me.

“Would you like something to drink?” I asked, stepping into the den then walking over to the mini bar that was behind him.

“Sure, what all do you have?” he asked. “This family portrait is really nice. You, Ava, and your mom all look like sisters.”

“Thank you. I have, Jack, Crown, Hen, Patron—” I began then he started laughing.

Turning around then looking me up and down with pure lust in his eyes caused my kitty to respond. His vibe was so intense; it was one of the things that drew me to him when we first met. I was anxious to get to see what it felt like to be alone with him. He was all good in a crowd, and a pleasure to be on the phone talking or texting with, but his one-on-one time was what I was most curious about.

“Damn! I see you!” Troy grinned. “I’ll take some Crown.”

“Good choice,” I replied, pouring both of us some Crown on ice.

“Is this you with the knee- high socks and tank in this picture?”

“Yep, I was a senior in high school.”

“Damn! You was stacked like that in high school!” Troy exclaimed.

We both laughed.

“Kevin just might be one of my favorite people right now.”

“He kicked dude’s ass tonight!” Troy beamed. “I was ready for ol’ boy that was with him to step, but he never did.”

“Oh, please! Tate wasn’t about to do no such thing! His ole soft ass! You don’t want to get me started on that one,” I smirked.

“You know that dude?”

“Yeah, he’s Justin’s best friend and secret lover, well one of them. Did Kevin ever tell you what happened with my sister and her ex?”

“Nah, not really.” Troy looked at me with a puzzled look on his face. “All I know is dude cheated, she left, then divorced his ass. When he and I talk, we don’t gossip like that.”

“I don’t see it as gossiping. Everybody has that one person that they tell everything to. I just figured he mentioned more is all.”

“Nah, the most he has said about your sister to me is how much he likes her. Shit like that, but tellin’ me her business, nah. He hasn’t gone into detail about what she had goin’ on. So, the dude cheated with a man?”

“Long story short, yes. That’s why I was so geeked to see Kevin whip his ass.”

“Get the fuck out of here!” Troy exclaimed. “Kev ain’t told me no shit like that! Damn! That’s fucked up. So, dude he was with…”

“Yep, they fuckin’!” I answered before he could ask.

“Well, I’ll be damned! I had no idea,” Troy stated as he took a sip of his drink.

“Right, now you see why I hate dude so much. I swear I be wantin’ to inflict physical pain on his ass for how dirty he did Ava. One of the other dudes he cheated with was Ava’s supposed best friend. We had no idea her ex liked to get his salad tossed.”
