Ah, fuck.
I popped my eyes open and, in slow motion horror, Caspian and I pulled back to see we had been embracing each other. He was in that fake human skin again too. No wonder he tasted bad.
“Fuck!” He barked out, shoving at me. I shoved him back, best to set a precedent that giving equals receiving. I was nice like that. He shot a look of outrage at me when I shoved him. Then his eyes narrowed.
“Were you petting my hair?” He asked in disgust. I hadn’t wanted to but indeed had been petting his hair so I nodded shamelessly. I reached out and pinched a piece of it.
“It’s oily,” I said in his head. He ground his teeth, his face pinching in pain.
“Stop talking in my head. It hurts!” he snarled, swiftly shifting to his true state. Teeth flashed in his mouth and I shot out a punch to his jaw preemptively. His mouth popped open in shock, like a woman clutching her pearls. He rubbed his jaw then flashed a murderous look at me.
I had to hold him back like a rabid dog as he snapped at my face.
This was not how I was hoping to wake up. Where the hell was Ava? Did this freak and I just cuddle for hours? I shivered in disgust, thinking about his tentacle cock and its plentiful, bursting fluids. Yeah, no thanks. I’d rather get bred by a bull.
“Ava’s going to like my cock better than your fucked up one,” I said. He grabbed his head and snarled in pain. I took the opportunity to kick him off me and climb out of the bed. While I was bent over looking for my hat, he launched at me.
The bastard was trying to fucking eat me! His teeth got into my arm and sunk through the leather duster. I yelped and punched him in the gut. He growled and began slashing at my duster with his taloned hands.
I pulled my gun out and waved it around menacingly. He snorted.
“No bullets and I’m not letting you brain me again,” he said with a creepy smile. His cockiness pissed me off bad enough that I started to bring the butt of the gun down towards his temple. He jerked away, his eyes widening in shock.
“Hurry up!” Brandon barked through the door, his fist pounding it from the other side. Caspian and I laid on the ground staring at each other for a moment before he sighed and got up.
“Wait,” I said in his head. He winced.
“What?” He snapped. I held up a finger for him to wait and then pulled out my notebook. I shoved it at him after writing my piece and waited for him to read it.
“What do you mean something is wrong with her?” He asked, eyeing me suspiciously. I sighed, took the notebook back, and wrote more. Could he really not tell she wasn’t acting right? He read my words and then flung the notebook back on the bed.
“You’re imagining things. She’s traumatized. You can’t expect her not to act a little strange.” I tapped my finger angrily on the part where I described her aura. He rolled his eyes. Which pissed me off. He wasn’t taking this seriously. Something was wrong with Ava. Something had happened in that cave. I bared my teeth at him and started to write out more, asking about why her curse was gone.
When he read it his jaw ground. Yet again he flung the notebook away then he leaned down towards me threateningly.
“There is nothingwrongwith my Ava. If there’s something she needs to tell us, she will do it herself in her own time.”
“Fucking fool!” I yelled in his head as he left. I heard him grunt in pain as he walked into the living room.
I’d only been reintegrated into socializing for a couple days and I was already pissed off with the experience. Where was the mutual respect? Weren’t we both Ava’s mates? We were supposed to be brothers. What a pain in my ass.
Grumpily, I grabbed my hat and shoved it down on my head. I flipped the collar of my duster up and hunched my shoulders, aiming my face down as I moved quietly from the bedroom. I eyed the living room for strangers but when no one else was there I relaxed and walked out.
Ava was on the coach, Caspian kissing her good morning. Swiftly I went over, settling myself behind her. I rubbed her arms with my hands as their good morning kiss continued. I thought about last night and shivered at the burned image of Ava brought to orgasm over and over. Beautiful barely described it. She was a work of art. The most lovely creature I’d ever seen.
I couldn’t wait to experience more of her in any way I could, any way she’d let me.
She finally turned towards me. My antennae bent back and laid flat on my head as I waited to see what expression she’d make. I was used to humans scampering off after being with me, as if I couldn’t see them literally running back to their civilization.
Ava turned around with a smile so bright I found myself reluctant to look away. Her fingers pressed into the fluff around my neck as she fell into my chest.
“Good morning,” she said. I sat there stunned for a moment before I gave a full-body shudder and reached up to grab her face in my hand. I felt her suck in a sharp breath as I rubbed her lips open with my thumb. A moment later I was sliding my tongue in her mouth and wrapping it around hers, giving her my own good morning kiss. I massaged her tongue lovingly, feeling its soft, wet strength. Poor girl didn’t realize that accepting me meant I’d want even more from her. That I wanted it right this very minute.
“Powux,” she tried to say my name without the use of her tongue. It had to be the cutest damn thing I’d ever heard a human say. I leaned back on the couch and brought her on top of me. There was something annoying in the way of my legs that I had to kick off.
“What the fuck?” Caspian barked out as he kicked to the ground. I pulled Ava down, her breasts pressing into me as I tugged on her tongue with mine, making sure she stayed close.
“Powux,” she gasped again as she squirmed against my erection. Ah, fuck she better not do that too much or I’d come in my pants. Only losers came in their pants. Her saliva began to slide from her mouth. What an amazingly beautiful mess. Now all I needed was her eyes rolling in the back of her head as she kept drooling. Then all my dreams would be coming true.
