I threw a few more things into my bag, then walked into the bathroom for my travel bag of personal stuff. Hayden met me back in my room and handed me condoms and pantyliners.

“I’m pretty sure he’ll have condoms, Hay.”

“A girl must always be prepared.” She dropped the stuff in my bag. “The liners are for after.”

I nodded, forcing myself not to blush.

She grabbed my arms and smiled. “And if you want to stop, you have the right and the power to do so.”

“Flash would never make me do anything I don’t want to do.”

She smiled. “This is true.”

My phone buzzed and I waved it at her. “Are we good?”

“Fly little virgin, fly,” Hayden said, and walked out of my room.

“Hey,” I said, into the phone.

“Hey, baby. I’ll pick you up in ten, good?”

I bit my lip and nodded. “Very good.”

“Love you, Tate.”

“Love you too, Parker.”

He hung up and I headed downstairs with my bag. After dropping my stuff in the foyer, I sent my mom a quick text so she wouldn’t worry, then paced the floor until I heard a car pull into the driveway.

Pulling the door open, I saw Flash sliding out of his truck, and grinned.

“You’re not gonna let me come to the door and greet you like a real man should?” he complained as he approached.

I shook my head. “I’m too excited. I’ll let you carry my bag, though.”

“I can do that.” He slid his hand to my waist and pulled me in for a kiss. “Hi.”

I smiled up at him. “Hi.”

“Let’s go.”

I nodded and followed him out to the truck. He set my bag behind the passenger seat, then lifted me in, closing my door and jogging to the driver’s side.

Once inside, he started the truck and reached over to take my hand. “You good?”

“So good.”

He grinned and backed out, guiding the truck to the freeway.

“So, are you going to tell me where we’re going?” I asked, squeezing his hand.

“Nope.”

“What about a hint?”

He lifted my hand to his lips and kissed my finger. “Nope.”

“You remember how I feel about surprises, right?”
