“Julien.”

“Butchy?” I clarified, and Matt nodded.

“He’s wound up tighter than normal tonight. He’s also been disappearing for long periods of time. Brock’s thinking he’s got a partner.” Matt crossed his arms. “I don’t like it. We need to keep an eye on him.”

“Yeah, okay.”

He smiled. “You and Harmony good?”

“Yeah, we’re great.”

“Good to see you happy, Jax.”

I grinned. “Thanks, brother.”

We headed back to the table and I noticed Harmony was gone and my heart raced. “Where’s Harmony?” I asked no one in particular.

“She went somewhere with Butchy,” Melody said, returning to her conversation with Billy.

“Where?” I snapped.

“Huh?”

“Where did they go?” I demanded, and I heard chairs scrape the ground, immediately knowing my team were already getting prepared.

“Probably upstairs. He had some video footage or something to show her.”

“Fuck,” I snapped, and headed for the lobby of the hotel.

Harmony

“Do you really thinkyou got the guy on video?” I asked Butchy as we headed toward the elevators.

“I do,” he said, settling his hand on my lower back.

“Did you show it to Matt?” I asked.

Butchy nodded. “Yeah. He wants you to see if you recognize him.”

“Okay.” I smiled up at him as we stepped into a car. “I really want all of this to be over.”

He smiled. “It will be.”

As soon as the doors closed, I felt a pinch on my arm.

“Ouch!” I squeaked, then everything went black.

Jaxon

“You need to back down, Jax,” Matt warned.

“She’s been gone for twenty-two minutes,” I hissed.

“And we’re gonna find her,” Brock said. “But you’re way too close to this, brother. Let us do our job.”
