I bit my lip. “I’m going home. There’s no point in starting something we can’t finish.”

“When do you go home?”

“About a month. As soon as the movie’s done.”

“So, let’s have some fun for ‘about a month,’” he said.

“Are you okay with being exclusive for a month? I don’t really like to share.” Jesus, I was seriously bold with this man. I had never said anything like this to anyone, let alone a man I was interested in.

He grinned. “Yeah, baby, I’m good with being exclusive.”

“How many women are going to be upset by that?”

“Oh, all of them,” he said.

I bit back a wave of jealousy and dropped my head back on his chest. “Right. Of course.”

His body shook as he chuckled. “And by all of them, I mean, none.”

“Oh,” I whispered, and Jaxon rolled me onto my back, hovering above me.

“Haven’t fucked anyone in over a year.”

“How come?” I blurted.

“Haven’t found anyone I was interested in.” He smiled. “Until you.”

“Seriously?”

“Seriously.” He kissed me, then ran his nose against mine. “What about you?”

“I’m practically a monk.”

“You on the pill?”

“Yes. I have bad periods,” I said. “Not that you needed to know that.”

“I’ll get tested.”

“Why?”

“So we don’t have to use a condom.”

“Oh, right.” I squeezed my eyes shut. “Makes sense.”

“Are you okay with that?”

“Yes.”

“You sure?”

I looked up at him. “Yes, why do you keep asking?”

“Because you got all stiff again, and not in a good way.”

I sighed. “Are you like this with every woman you sleep with?”

“What way?”
