“Alright then,” Sir spoke, a tiny bit of laughter in his voice. “Then you’ll sit right there, and I’ll be back in less than three minutes. Can you do that?”
My feet were gone….so yeah. I’d be here.
As my eyes slipped closed again, the back door was opened. Then shut moments later. Sir repeated something, but it didn’t need a response, so I just floated on the high of whatever I was on.
I wanted it to last forever. Whatever it was that the super nice lady had given me was the best thing I’d had.
Time passed, as though I hadn’t even known Sir had disappeared, then he was back at the car in what seemed like seconds later.
He didn’t speak, or if he did, it sounded like far-away whispers lost on the wind. Once again, he picked me up as if I was nothing more than a bag of trash. I hummed, not caring at the moment if he thought I was gross or pathetic, letting my head rest on his shoulder. I breathed him in, letting my mind drift away.
I was sure that when the pill wore off, Sir wouldn’t be the man I was being held by. It was all just a figment of my imagination.
“Good boy,” Sir’s words were quiet as he sat me down on something hard. A counter, maybe?
I swayed, almost toppling over, but a hand on my arm kept me upright.
It was dark in the room, so I peeked my eyes open, trying to see through the blurriness.
“Arm’s up?”
I tried, but they just flopped back down. All I could do was glare at them.
“Alright,” Sir sighed.
“S-s-sorry?” I wanted to say more, but the words were lost as the man pulled the shirt from my body like I was a baby.
Maybe I was one. I couldn’t do anything on my own. My feet were gone.
“Your feet are right here, pet. Shh. Let me take care of you.”
Soon, I was told to stand, and on wobbling legs, my pants and underwear were pulled down. Oh. One of the things got stuck on a … foot.
“Not gone?”
“No, you have all your parts.”
“Sir?” Was he real? Why were my thoughts so…thoughtful? No, that wasn’t right. They were strange.
“…Clean you. Then bed.”
I think I nodded, but my head landed on the man’s shoulder. I’d sleep right here.
“Keep his clothes off so I can check him when you’re done.” There was someone else here. Whoever it was, I should have been scared; knowing two against me wasn’t good odds. But all I could do was press up against Sir, even if he was only in my mind.
Chapter 21
Allister
I was torn between wanting to ring April’s neck or hug her into the next century.
Dakota was looped up on some sort of pain med, thanks to my boss, and I was one hundred percent sure that he didn’t realize his thoughts were being spoken out loud. Even though his sentences didn’t exactly make the most sense, he was talking, and I sure as fuck was listening.
If it weren’t for how bad of a shape he was in, I’d have thought it was adorable. Sweet even. But his goddamn chest and half of his rib cage was quickly turned dark colors. Or maybe that was just the paranoia setting in.
Whoever hurt him better never be in my sights.
Trying to juggle two different boys wasn’t what I planned to do when I woke up this morning. One was still passed out, and the other was high as a kite.
