“I’ll get back to you on that. She won’t let you see her, though,” he said sheepishly.
“I don’t need to. You and Vidie can get any information I need,” I said, not concerned.
“Alright,” he said, pushing himself up. “I better get going then.”
“Thanks for staying with her,” I said, feeling grateful that he was able to come along when he did.
“Anytime,” he shrugged.
After he said his goodbyes to Vidie, I ordered takeout for the both of us. I was too lazy to cook a meal, and my wife needed me to hold her.
Okay, maybe I needed to hold her. I needed to feel her against me as we lounged on the couch enjoying each other’s company.
I knew I could never live without out her in my life now that I had her.
