HeroLemon701—Oh my GOOOOOOOOOOOD NO WAY. THIS IS AMAZING

TealLightning—Did you not read the part where I feel like I’m being torn to pieces

HeroLemon701—BECAUSE YOU LOVE HIM THIS IS AMAZING

TealLightning—this isliterallythe opposite of amazing

HeroLemon701—No it’s amazing. You are literally living a romance novel right now and I am so unbearably jealous.

HeroLemon701—BY THE WAY HE LOVES YOU TOO. GIRL JUST TALK TO HIM.

TealLightning—But he didn’t say it. What if I go back there and, like, he has all my shit packed up? Technically, our deal is done.

HeroLemon701—Question. Do you happen to have some traumatic issues with regards to abandonment?

HeroLemon701—It feels like this is just a bit of an overreaction. But that would make sense if TRAUMA

HeroLemon701—Seriously, @ringalingadingdong is a loser for hating all caps (THIS IS A LEGITIMATE HUMAN EXPRESSION, MAN) but he loves you! You need to just ASK him, or, you know, TELL him what you need to hear

TealLightning—Ew. So you’re saying I just need to “communicate” and tell him I want him to say he loves me??!!?!?!

Gross.

No.

I don’t want to.

HeroLemon701—**cackles in romancelandia**

I startle when there’s aknock at the door. It opens and there is Sky, holding her car keys.

“Sky! She didn’t say ‘come in’!” That’s Sage’s voice.

“Just go in. You already know what she is doing. Moping around like a pathetic prostitute.” That is Amá Sonya. I groan and pull a pillow over my face.

“Amá. She has depression. And it’s not ‘prostitute,’ it’s ‘sex worker.’ ” That’s Sage again.

“I’m bipolar,” I remind her.

Sage lifts a hand. “In the depressive state of bipolar disorder, then.”

“She’s brokenhearted, too,” Sky says.

I’m pretty sure Amá snorts in response. I’m not sure if she believes in mental health disorders or romance; luckily, she doesn’t say anything more about either.

“Ask her if we can come in,” Nadia whispers.

“Just come in and do whatever you’re going to do,” I say through the pillow. “As long as it doesn’t involve me leaving this room, I mean.”

“Too bad!” Sky announces, and I can hear shuffling and grunting and I know that somehow, each of these assholes has squeezed into this tiny bedroom.

I throw the pillow off my head. “What do you want?”

Amá is leaning against my dresser, looking at a Victoria Secret Pure Seduction body spray as though it’s labeledDOG SHIT. “Where are the perfumes I got you?” If she wrinkled her nose any further, I think it would just fold into her face. “What are you wearing this nonsense for?”
