He nodded slowly, considering. “I can see that.” With a flutter of his wings, he closed the distance between us. His levitation put him an inch or so above our typical equal eye level. “Are you sure my true form makes no difference?”

I reached out to him, and my hand encircled his hard upper arm as my eyes rose to meet his. “Yes. I’m sure. Whatever form is you is fine with me. May I see what you really look like?”

He paused so long I almost decided he wasn’t going to answer. His smile faded completely, and a guarded look came over his eyes. “You’re looking at it.”

“Really?”

He nodded.

“Wow.” My hand left his arm and moved to his chest. As my fingers traced the flat expanse, the material seemed to evaporate at my touch, only to reknit after my fingers passed. “You’re beautiful.”

I felt his body flinch. “Really?”

I laughed, part in nervousness, part in wonder. “Yeah. Unlike anything I’ve ever seen. You’re lovely.”

He stretched out his fingers and raised my chin so my eyes met his once more. The guarded look was replaced by one of tentative hope. “This doesn’t bother you?”

“This what? What would bother me?”

“I don’t look human. There’s no way I could ever pass for human in my real form.”

“You’re not human.”

He continued to look at me, his brow knitted.

“I’m not either.”

“Yeah, but you look human. As long as you don’t use your power, no one would ever know.”

“So? You can blend in if you need to. Why would I care?”

He shrugged, a strange human motion on his real form. “I thought that seemed important to you.”

“Schwint, I think you’re the most beautiful creature I’ve ever seen.”

His eyes clouded once more. “I’m not looking for that. I know you were dating a demon. You don’t get prettier than that.”

I paused again, judging the truth of my words before I said them aloud, and was as surprised as Schwint that I meant them. “It’s a different kind of beauty, but yeah. You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”

His eyes softened and grew larger, the sunflowers morphing into full moons. “Really?”

“Oh yeah.” I was surprised at the mix of sincerity and lust in my voice. “Without a doubt.”

His smile flashed and beamed, making him even more alluring than he had been a moment before.

I reached up with both hands, clasped him on each shoulder, and curled my fingers into the firm muscles there. I pulled him down and closed the last few inches of space between us as I unconsciously stretched up on tiptoe to meet him halfway.

Our lips met. A shot of fire surged through me, followed instantly by a tidal wave of serenity.

A long groan reverberated between us. I wasn’t sure if it was him or me.

I tightened my fingers and pulled him closer. The air whipped around from the beating of his wings and caressed my face with its rhythm.

Schwint’s arms encircled my neck and drew me even closer. Our kiss deepened. Tongues lapping frantically at each other soon gave way to long, luxurious strokes.

I felt his feet land on top of mine, then slide to the sides to take their place on the ground. As my arms encircled his back, his wings folded and came to rest on the top of my forearms.

As he continued to kiss me, the kiss growing ever deeper and warmer, his body folded into mine. His chest and stomach flattened against my own, and our thighs pressed together. The hardness of our cocks as they met through my jeans and his nearly air-like clothing elicited another groan from both of us. We rocked against each other for a few brief thrusts and then were content to stay pressed firmly together as the rest of our bodies melded into each other.
