“My boy you finally came. I was worried that Elizabeth wouldn't inform you.”
He says to me with a sneer. I stop in front of him and scowl.
“Where is she?”
I demand to know and he simply tchs me shaking his head.
“Adonis, not even going to greet your father. I know I raised you better than that.”
He says to me as he stands and walks over to me. He then whispers in my ear.
“Now, it's time to finish the job.”
He gestures to his men, and they disappear. With every moment they are gone my heart beats louder and louder when suddenly they appear again. This time they have someone with them. They throw them on the ground. My father walks up to them and takes their mask off. There she was, my reason for living, my Lillypad.
I watched in horror as my father took Lillian by the throat.
“Pl-please don-”
I heard her gasp, she looked at me with tears in her eyes, and I finally saw something I hadn’t seen before in her eyes. Fear.
My Lillypad, my strong-willed, stubborn, brave girl was terrified and all I could do was watch.
“Oh, what to do, what to do Adonis.”
My father says to me I clench my fist wanting nothing more than to take this man down.
“Choose Adonis, do as I say or,”
His grip tightens on Lillian's throat.
“See me add yet another loved one to my trail of bodies.”
Lillian
Adonis’s father throws me to the ground, and I come to a stop at Adonis’s feet. I feel pain everywhere, I can’t move the bindings on my wrists, and my feet are so tight.
“What will it be Adonis?”
I hear his father ask him; I look up at his father.
“Why are you doing this?”
I ask him and he looks down at me.
“Because my son has become weak, and the only way to not be weak anymore is to get rid of the cause of it.”
He says as he kneels pulling my head up by my hair.
“You are the cause of his weakness Lillian.”
He tells me and punches me again. I can taste copper, and my vision starts to become blurry.
“Now finish this Adonis.”
He says to him, I look up at the man I know is my weakness, the man I have given my heart to, and see in his eyes he is just as trapped as I am. I see he too is afraid, but only one of us will make it out of here alive.
“What will you do Adonis?”
