I looked at him with tears forming in my eyes.

“So, since I liked him I gave him a choice. Save you, the only heir or his first love. Truthfully, I would have killed you but that wasn’t my choice to make.”

I fall to my knees, the man still holding me and he bends down to me.

“I watched as your mother had tears in her eyes begging him, telling him how she loved him, I watched as your father put a bullet right in between her eyes.”

He tells me as he points to my forehead. I want to vomit; I want to run and hide. The man I thought I knew was a fraud and a coward.

“Now when Maxwell fell into debt with me it had been years since I had seen your father, I’m sure you could imagine my surprise when I realized who he was.”

He stands up and walks to the chair to sit.

“Then I found that he raised you to be the heir to his corporation, the same corporation he refused to sell me. The same Corporation that is my competition. So, when I found out Maxwell put you up as collateral I was going to use you, offer you a deal, sell me your corporation and I let you live.”

He smiles at me, and I begin to feel my blood become even colder.

“But then you stole my son's heart. You made him weak Lillian. We Malith men are not weak. So, he may not be able to kill you. But I can.”

With those words, I felt a sharp pain hit my head and suddenly my world turned dark.

Adonis

Sitting in my room and looking at where Lillian was lying just a day ago makes my heart ache. I never should have allowed myself to fall for her. I can’t have her. The best thing to do is let her go.

I want her to be happy, and if that means her being with someone else, then so be it. I can feel the pain in my chest as I imagine her being with another man who is not me. I can see her kissing him and my blood begins to boil. I’ll kick his ass for touching her. I smirk to myself, yeah, I’ll kick an imaginary man's ass. I roll my eyes when I hear my phone go off.

“Hello?”

“Adonis it's Liz.”

She sounds exhausted, almost wounded.

“Hey, is everything alright?”

“They have her. Your father took her. I am so sorry I tried to protect her; they just came behind and I didn’t see it coming.”

I don’t let her finish her sentence. I can't because my vision is starting to turn red.

“Where did he take her?”

“He said where you get the job done every time.”

My blood runs ice cold. I hung up the phone and called Noah.

“Hey, what’s up?”

“I need you to meet me at the warehouse, but don’t let anyone know you're there, bring Liam and stay out of sight.”

“Alright, what’s going on?”

He asks and I feel my blood begin to boil with rage.

“It’s time to end this with my father.”

I went to the warehouse and saw the cars out front; Liam and Noah messaged me saying they were already in position. I walked in and saw my father. Sitting in a chair grinning. I got closer and saw blood on his knuckles.
