Mary looks at me and squeals.

“You think he will like this?”

I ask them both and they nod still in shock.

“Lilly, you look-”

Neither one of them can speak. I smile at them and giggle,

“Come on girls we gotta go or we will be late!”

We get our last bit of things and head down the hall. Noah and Liam are there and see the girls both are in awe. Suddenly, I walk behind them and see Adonis, Noah taps him to turn around. He turned to me and his eyes followed every step I took to him. I felt exposed under his stare, and I smile at him and ask.

“Well, are you ready?”

Adonis

The boys and I were waiting for them at the bottom of the stairs. I was reading a message on my phone from my father. As I was about to respond when Noah nudged me. I turn around and there she is. My heart stopped and so did time. She is a vision, the way the dress hugged every single curve on her, the way she carried herself as if she were a goddess.

She got closer and I still couldn't speak but she broke the trance I was in suddenly.

“Well, are you ready?”

She asked me and I smiled at her.

“Yes, let's go.”

I say to her and the girls giggle. We walk outside to where the car is waiting for us. I help Lillian get into the car but before she gets in she stops and looks at me.

“What is it baby?”

I ask her and she leans up and kisses me. It catches me off guard for a split second, but I respond and kiss her back. She smiles and says nothing as she gets into the car. I slid in next to her and we head out.

We get to the theater, and it is packed, but as we walk in I notice a group of gentlemen looking our way murmuring and staring as if they are starved and seeing their next meal. I look where they are staring, and I see Lillian laughing with her friends and I feel my blood begin to boil.

“Hey, she is ok man. We can see them from here.”

I hear Liam say as he pats my shoulder. I nod in response and hand the Valet our Coats. Once we get our tickets for the coats I head to Lillian. I see the group of men are still watching her. I pull her close to me and she looks up at me.

“Everything ok?”

She asks me and I nod leaning down.

“Yeah, everything is just as perfect as you.”

I tell her and I see the pink tint form on her cheeks. I smile and kiss her. I look over and the group of men scoff and look away. Thats right she’s mine, don’t fucking touch her or even look at her.

We begin to head to our seats and Mary and Lillian are over the moon saying they never came to the theater before. I smiled and take Lillian's hand, and we sit in our seats.

As the show continues, I hear something else and look over to her and see she and Elizabeth are singing along with the play. Lillian sings the beginning of Thunder Bringer and Liz sings back to her. I smiled and continued to listen to them, I couldn’t help but let a laugh escape my lips. I look at Liam and Noah and they are both captivated by the show. I roll my eyes and turn back to the play.

I watch as I see the character Odysseus sacrifice so much for this woman he loves and for his child. I watch as his men are sacrificed and watch as he kills men who dared to try and touch what was his to which I could relate. I would kill anyone who dared to touch her.

I feel a knot begin to form in my stomach. Is this what love can do to someone? Is it truly this destructive?

Suddenly Lillian grabs my hand as the final song plays and I look over to her, she is looking right at me and is still singing along with the play. Once again, she is a siren, and I am her captivated prey as I listen to her sing to me.

As she sings, would you fall in love with me something, feels different. It’s as if she is genuinely believing every word she is singing. No, she can’t, she shouldn’t love me. I don’t deserve her love.
