His words are cut off suddenly when I see a fist hit his face. I look over and see Adonis, Liam, and Noah. Liam helps me up and Adonis lifts my chin and looks me in my eyes, and I see his eyes move to my cheek and my lip and his eyes begin to grow dark.
Suddenly I saw him go for Maxwell and picked him up by his shirt.
“How fucking dare, you touch her! She’s mine, you piece of shit!”
He tells Maxwell and punches him again.
“I think it’s time someone taught you a proper lesson.”
He tells him and hits him with another blow. He keeps punching him over and over until I start to see blood. No No he needs to stop. I pushed Liam to the side and rush to Adonis.
“Adonis stop! That’s enough.”
I tell him but he pushes me away and continues to hit Maxwell. His eyes had a rage in them that could only see red. Mary and Elizabeth come over to see what's going on.
“Hey Liz, Mare, take Lilly home. Call an Uber using my card.”
Liam hands Mary the card and they nod.
“Lilly, are you ok?”
Mary asks and with that one question I begin to cry, and Elizabeth holds me. Will he be, ok? Fuck Maxwell will the others be able to stop Adonis? I can’t help but cry the entire ride home.
Adonis
“Adonis, stop man you’re going to kill him, this isn’t the place we want to do that.”
I hear Noah say but my rage will not subside. He hit her, he hurt her and made her bleed. The least I can do is make him bleed right? Who cared if I killed him, that was the objective anyway, wasn’t it?
I hear the boys telling me to stop but I only see red, finally Noah pulls me off and Liam checks on that piece of shit.
“He’s alive, what should we do?”
I look at them both.
“Take him to the warehouse right now. I will meet the both of you there.”
I tell them and I can’t think straight, I have to see her, I have to feel her to make sure she is ok. I leave them behind with his limp body and get on my bike.
I drive faster than I should just to see her. I pull up to her house and rush to the door. I knock on it and get no answer. I knock on it again and this time Liz opens the door, but she doesn’t look shocked or stunned. She opens the door all the way and walks out.
“Is it done?”
She asks me and suddenly the truth comes crashing together.
“You? Do you work for my father?”
I ask her. I mean it would make sense; she wasn’t shocked or surprised at any of this or of the state I was in.
“No, you moron. I work for the Corales Corporation, Maxwell has always been a lose end. Honestly, Adonis, who do you think sent him to your father in the first place.”
She says to me, and I am stunned to stunned for words to even come out.
“Lilly doesn’t know, before her dad passed away, he asked us to watch her. She is my best friend and sole Heir to the Corales Corp. Once she turns twenty-five the Corporation goes to her as her father wished. We have to ensure her safety.”
She says and looks at me up and down.
“I wonder how she would react when she finds out you are trying to kill her?”
