He starts to get closer to me.
“I want to take my girlfriend and show her off,”
He starts to pull me in, and I push him back,
“When did I agree to be your girlfriend?”
I ask him quizzingly. He takes my hand and kisses my palm making me moan, which makes his eyes turn dark.
“You’re mine Lillypad.”
He tells me in a low growl. I pull my hand away gently and kiss him.
“I wish I could go with you, but I don’t have anything to wear to a fancy event,”
I say because it’s true, we may be rich, but my mother was embarrassed by me because I was the biggest one. She and my sister were beautiful, and I could feel the envy creep in but then something stopped it. Adonis reached for me again and suddenly all my anger and jealousy started to fade away.
“That’s fine princess I will get you a new dress,”
he says as he plants a kiss on my forehead, I sigh and push him back.
“Fine, I guess I can accompany you,”
I smirk at him, and he smiles.
“Now if you want to go hiking you need to let me go so I can go and get a bag and get changed.”
He lets me go and I walk into my house, I see my mother is waiting for me along with my sister.
“Where the fuck have you been!”
She yells at me. I wince and suddenly my sister walks to the door and sees Adonis, I turn and see him waving and I shake my head.
“Who’s that Lillian?”
My sister asked me, and I walk past them,
“Don’t you dare ignore us.”
When have they ever cared where I have been? When did they ever care who I was with? I grab my duffle bag and start to pack my things.
“Where the hell do you think you're going,”
I hear my mother say and I continue to pack.
“Did you see Maxwell Lillian?”
I hear my sister say and that makes me stop dead in my tracks.
“No, why would I want to see him? I’ve told you both it’s over between me and him. I don’t want him in my life ever again.”
I tell them through gritted teeth, and I see my mother step back a bit. I started to become angry.
“You told him I was going to be home didn’t you!” I yell at my mother, and she scoffs.
“Of course, so you two had a fight, he’s perfect for you. You ought to be with him, not the grungy boy outside.”
I glared at my mother furiously.
