I am everywhere Lillian, just remember that.
I rolled my eyes. I go back to my laptop but still feel the pair of eyes on me. A million questions begin to go through my mind, but before I can let them take over my mind Elizabeth says something. When she speaks, I can feel chills going up and down my spine.
“Uh hey, Lilly?”
She says with hesitation.
“Yeah?”
Suddenly, as if something was telling me to run, I turned around and saw him.
“Maxwell?”
My voice was low and panicked. He was hard to miss, a 6 '1 broad shoulder dirty blonde hair, and blue eyes that even Poseidon himself grew jealous of.
“Ha miss me doll?”
I look at him, and I can feel my heart begin to race, but it's not racing the way it does when Adonis is near, no this racing is the kind that prey knows.
“Wh-what are you doing here?”
I stammer out, I can’t help but feel like the walls are closing in around me.
“Oh, come now darlin', don’t be like that, come here.”
He tries and reaches for me, but I step back, he looks taken aback but his smile starts to fade.
“Come now Lillian, it’s been years, when will you let it all go?”
He says with a sneer. Liz stands up and Mary looks like she's ready to rip him limb from limb.
“Let it go? Are you truly that mental?!”
I can feel my voice coming out harsher and harsher.
“You were the one who left me out there alone by myself! You were the one who cheated on me, and you were the one who—”
Before I could finish my sentence, I felt a presence, a warm and guarded one. That's when I felt two arms wrapped around my waist.
“Sorry, I’m late Lillypad,”
Adonis says in a calming voice; he places a kiss on my forehead and looks over to Maxwell. He sticks his hand out.
“I don’t believe we’ve met before. I’m Adonis Malith”
I started to become more at ease in his arms.
“Right, I am Maxwell Times.”
Maxwell shakes his hand a bit too aggressively for my liking. Adonis nods and looks at me and smiles at me.
“Well, Lillypad you ready?”
He asked me and I could pick up on his queue.
“Ye-yes I am let me just pack up my-”
“Don’t worry Lilly, we will bring your stuff back to the house you just go and be safe.”
