Lillian
Welcome to Glenrich, Texas. Where the rich come to do business and to have their business disappear in a manner of speaking. This town is home to the richest CEOs in Texas. Everyone here has either had a shit ton of work done or they are just simply blessed to look the way they do.
I’m sure you can imagine being a 24-year-old 350-pound girl, fitting in here is well not easy.
“Hey Lills!”
I turned and saw my best friend Mary running towards me. Mary is one of my two best friends. She has beautiful dirty blonde hair and the deepest blue eyes anyone has ever seen. They call her the Sea goddess with how beautiful those eyes are. She's taller than me but I suppose being 5 '3, anyone can be taller than me truthfully.
She's also on the Cheerleading team at our college so she's fit and flexible.
“Oh, good you two haven't left yet.”
I turn and see my other best friend Elizabeth or Liz who walks up. Liz is 5 '6 and the kind of thick everyone wants to be with an hourglass shape, she has straight black hair and one dark hazel eye and one blue eye. Her nickname is Fae because her appearance is captivating.
Then there’s me, Lillian Han, the short, fat funny friend. Nickname whale, or pig whichever the mean girls of college like to gossip about. I have the shit like brown eyes, and wavy brown hair. I’m not fit or on the cheerleading team. I am the president of the Book club on campus and hate to exercise.
“Oh my gosh we got invited to this Halloween party tomorrow night!”
Mary squeals and I roll my eyes.
“You mean you two got invited too.
They both look at me with a disapproving look and I sigh. I wasn't always this negative. I was the opposite, but ever since my ex I just haven't been the same. Mary reaches for my hand.
“No Lilly, they invited you too, Jack asked for you to come.
Jack was one of the many guys I knew who was pinning for Liz and Mary, but I didn’t want to disappoint them.
“Ok, fine.”
I can never tell them no, plus I bet it will be fun.
“Ah ok what are we gonna wear?”
Liz says and we start to walk to our next class, when suddenly I bump into someone. I stumbled to the ground, dropping my books.
“Oh my god I am so sorry.”
I say not wanting conflict, this happens a lot to me and a lot of the times this is done on purpose to embarrass me. I start to pick up my books when I see a large hand in a black leather glove reach for my books.
“No princess, that was my fault I wasn’t looking at where I was going.”
I hear a deep raspy voice say to me, I look up into the most beautiful emerald, green eyes I have ever seen. My heart started to quicken. His hair is as black as a raven's wing. I only get a quick glance before I say to him,
“Oh, no it's ok, I should have been more aware of-”
“Hey Lillian, you good?”
Suddenly the trance I was in broke when I heard Jack call for me. I quickly get my things and Mary and Liz help me up.
“Yeah, everything is good, I just bumped into this gu-”
When I turned around to get his name, he was gone. I didn’t even get to thank him for helping me.
“Ah well, are y’all coming tomorrow to the party?”
He asks us and the girls chat with him, but my mind is filled with that man's face, the way he looked at me as if he had found what he had been searching for.
