I watch as her friends walk into the home, they start talking about me only naturally as they would. I watch as she turns her back to the stove.
“Should have turned it down, sweetheart.”
I say to myself and take a sip of my soda. I watch as she smiles and laughs with her friends. I reach out to the screen wanting to touch her to feel her. She suddenly turns around and notices the dinner is burning.
“Ha told ya.”
I got my phone and messaged her asking her to dinner again. Not getting my hopes up she will say yes. I watch as she receives my message, and she sighs. I then look over to my phone and see one new Notification.
Fine, butjust dinner.
She said yes! I got up really quick, quicker than I should have. What was I supposed to wear…What if she doesn't even like me? I shake my head no, she does, I could tell by the way she got flustered when I got close to her at the store. I look through my clothes. I didn't want to overdress but not underdress.
I decided on a fit black shirt and a pair of riding jeans; I was going to take my bike because I needed the fresh air, and being in a car would probably suffocate my dumb ass with how hard I am breathing right now.

I smirked to myself as if I didn’t know where she lives, but it would be suspicious if I just showed up. I hit send and waited for her reply. I let out a long sigh, I have never been one to be so anxious but for some reason right now all I can think about is if my hair looks good or if I smell ok. I want to make a good impression on her, but I don’t want to overdo it either.
I walk down to the kitchen to see May, our cook and she smiles,
“Hello Master Adonis, care for a snack? I can make your favorite, scotch eggs, and a side of crisps?” She says and I smile at her and shake my head.
“Another time May I have an important thing to get to,” she looks at me amused.
“Oh? Care to share?”
I laugh and start to walk away.
I walk through the halls to the foyer as I do I walk by the gallery of Maliths, I stop when I come across my mother's portrait. I touch the rim of the painting longing for her to come back. I shake off the vulnerability I am feeling and walk to the door and see Cylus waiting for me with my helmet.
“Where to today Master Malith,” He asks me, and I look over to him as I grab my helmet from him.
“To meet a woman Cylus, I may be back late,” I told him and walked out the door, I looked down at my phone and saw Lillian had messaged me back.
You don’t have to do that; I can just meet you somewhere, so you don’t have to come all the way here.
I smirk, she is so considerate, but I want to take her somewhere special to ensure she can’t run away from me again.

I hit send and walk down to my bike and see Noah and Liam on the court playing basketball.
“Adonis come help me kick Liam's ass I’m losing here man.” He says to me, and I laugh, these two have always been so competitive and it hasn’t faded with their age.
“I can’t, I got things to see, things to do,”
I tell them and they stop for a moment and look at me.
