I wait for his reply, but he never messages me back. It's been a few days since my message, maybe he lost interest. I mean it would make sense he can have any woman he wanted with his looks.

“Whatever who needs men anyway?”

I said to myself and put my phone in my purse. I get into my car and head for the Grocery store, since the help isn’t here this weekend I need to make my own food, my mother and sister are in Corpus for some big gala. I never go with them; they have always been embarrassed to be seen with me. I roll the windows down and listen to Close To You by Grace Abrahm. I sing at the top of my lungs as I pull into the car lot.

I walk into the store and start looking for what I am going to make. I headed down the wine aisle, because you know priorities, as I turned the corner I ran into another cart.

“Oh my gosh I am so sorry; I am a huge cluts.”

“Ha, that's alright ghostie.”

I look up and there he is, his hair slick back, and he’s carrying a motorcycle helmet. I look down and see he is wearing a tight black shirt and dark blue jeans.

“What are you stalking me now?”

I say trying to pull my eyes away from his tight fitted jeans. He smiles and looks at me.

“And if I was, would that be a problem?”

I can’t help but feel a blush creep onto my cheeks when he said that. I look back at the wine selection and ignore him.

“Oh, come on Lillypad, let's go get some coffee.”

He says to me, and I ignore him, suddenly he gets in front of me blocking my view of the wine, I look up into his eyes and can see his eyes grow dark.

“Huh guess the big bad wolf doesn’t like it when I ignore them.”

I quickly cup my mouth realizing I said it out loud. He steps closer to me, and I feel intimidated and yet slightly turned on, which for me is rather confusing.

“What if this big bad wolf wants to devour you right here and now? Will you stop him?”

I feel his arm slighter behind me and I want to push him away, but his scent is intoxicating. He bends forward so our faces are inches apart. Just when I think he’s about to kiss me.

“Get a room.”

We hear someone say and I push him away just as quickly as he appeared. I clear my throat and grab the bottle of Rose wine and walk away.

“Hey wait up Lillypad!”

I hear him call me and I groan.

“What are you doing tonight?”

He asks me.

“Seriously you are tiresome!”

He smiles and I look away, his smile makes my heart flutter and that makes me weary. The last person to ever make my heart flutter was Maxwell.

“I am busy tonight if you must know.”

I told him and grabbed a Ribeye from the cooler. I walk to the veggies, and he is still walking beside me. I continue my shopping, and he continues to follow me like a puppy following its owner.

“Adonis, please. Just leave me alone.”

I say as I pack up my car with the groceries, he hands me a bag and smirks again.

“No can do Lillypad not until you say yes to dinner.”
