Blaine’s face turns pensive. His eyes dip to my crotch before Alex smacks his chest with the back of his hand. “Blaine, stop staring.”
“I wasn’t staring. I’m just curious,” he argues.
I choke out a laugh, then slap his shoulder. “All you need to know is it was very satisfying.”
Blaine shakes his head firmly. “Okay, no. I don’t like this game now. I don’t wanna know.”
“Lucky Elliot,” Alex smirks.
“Hey!” his husband shrieks.
“What? I’m only saying, Elliot’s lucky he has the opportunity to sample such tasty appetizers.”
Blaine grumbles under his breath, then reaches for the door handle and slams it closed between us.
I stand there, staring at the closed door, before bursting into laughter.
“I’m ready!” Elliot calls out as he rounds the corner. “What’s so funny?”
Grinning, I turn to face him. “I think I’ve spooked your brother.”
He snorts out a breath. When we step out into the hall, Blaine has pushed Alex up against the wall, his thigh between his legs, and they’re kissing heavily.
I clear my throat, hoping to be subtle, but Elliot decides to go down the other route.
“For fuck’s sake, Blaine, can you not act like an animal for one night? Do you want to piss on him like a dog and mark your territory too?”
Blaine steps back from his husband, both of them with flushed cheeks and swollen lips.
“So, are we ready?” Alex asks, straightening his white shirt.
Instead of responding, Elliot gets Blaine in a headlock, and they start lightly jostling in the hallway.
“I think so,” I say to Alex.
Inside the elevator, I hold the door open with my palm, waiting until Elliot’s inside. As soon as he steps in, I wrap my arm around his waist and pull him against me so his back is pressed up against my chest.
He glances up at me with a grateful smile.
“Are Zach and Carter meeting us there?” he asks.
“No, we said we’d meet in the lobby,” Blaine answers, fixing his hair in the mirror from where Elliot messed it up.
I catch Elliot’s reflection as he smirks at his brother.
We’re only in the lobby for two minutes when the elevator doors open, and two guys step out. One of them I recognize as Elliot’s teammate Zach, so the other must be his boyfriend, Carter. He looks vaguely familiar. Elliot mentioned he used toplay football in Denver, but Walt is more of a football fan than I am.
“Sorry, were you waiting long?” Zach asks.
The twins say, “Yes,” as Alex says, “No.”
I chuckle under my breath, then hold out my hand to introduce myself. “Hey, I’m Hunter.”
Zach steps forward, shaking my hand. “I’m Zach. This is my boyfriend, Carter.” He points to the man next to him, who shakes my hand next.
“Damn, little goalie, you pulled well,” Carter says to Elliot with a smirk.
Elliot beams, then slaps Carter’s hand from mine. He replaces it with his own and locks our fingers together. “I know, and he’s mine, so fuck off.”
