“Duh, that your brother really looks as good as an underwear model when he gets his clothes off,” I quipped.

Bodie coughed into his hand to hide his laughter and Gemma groaned.

“Well good luck, but don’t tell me the deets afterward about my brother, remember?”

I giggled and hiccuped. When I looked at Paxton he was smiling like a loon. “Come on, darlin’, let’s get you home.”

I rubbed my hands together in anticipation. “Oh goodie. Bye guys,” I told the others just before I put my head back in and Paxton shut my door.

The next thing I knew I was being carried from the car to the condo. I guess I’d fallen straight asleep when the door shut and now there I was cradled in Paxton’s strong arms like he was my own personal chariot.

He got us inside and set me down on the bed. I sat on the edge looking at the most handsome man I’d ever seen. That was how I saw him. He was so beautiful inside and out.

“I’m going to grab you some water and ibuprofen. I have a feeling you’ll be feeling that wine you drank come morning.”

My lip jutted out in a pout. “What about the arrangement?”

He looked at me intensely as though fighting off something in his head.

“You said naked could be arranged.”

He moved closer and cupped my chin in the palm of his hand, lifting it so I was looking into his eyes.

“It definitely can, but not while you’ve had this much to drink.” He brushed his thumb over my lip.

“Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad you let loose and had fun. And you are adorable as fuck when tipsy.”

He took a deep breath and blew it out. “But, baby, when I get naked and then demand you do the same, I want you to remember everything you see. And after that, I want you to remember everything you feel when I have you for the first time.”

A groan came out of my mouth. Not sure if it was a protest to not seeing him sans clothes or due to what he just claimed would happen when I did, but the effect he had on me was monumental.

Paxton leaned down and covered my mouth in a sweet kiss before letting go of my chin.

“Be right back, beautiful.”

When he left the room, I flopped onto my back and let out a dreamy sigh.

The man was everything a girl dreamt of.

PAXTON

August rolled around, another month going by without any problems, but that didn’t mean the guys and I hadn’t been doing our homework.

What we found was disturbing to say the least.

We had all gotten together atNo Surrenderone evening when it was closed. Capri and I had shut down the bakery and headed over together. She was on edge in regard to what we had found and chose to wait to let me tell her alone later.

I wish I could shield her from it all, but she needed to know the danger she was up against if anyone had found out where she was.

There was a lot of conversation during our meeting, but my stomach rolled when Braxton flat out said that Capri had an angel watching over her that morning and that she had not only escaped from the bakery but also the police station.

She was plain lucky she’d made it out alive.

While I was fucking scared to death that something might still happen to her, I couldn’t help but admire how damn strong she was. Not only had she gotten away, but she’d made a place for herself in a new city while all alone. She’d started a business that was successful, made friends without trying, and was one of the kindest people I’d ever met.

“These guys are not going to stop until they get whatever they want,” Braxton said, and I knew he was right.
