It was too much. And it was everything, all at the same time.
I’d never experienced anything like it.
My hands flew to his head. I grabbed his hair and hung on as every muscle in my body tightened. Lyric stayed with me the whole time as uncontainable pleasure ripped through and then an earth-shattering orgasm shook my body. He brought me back down slowly, soothing me with his warm tongue.
And then he slid up my body, a pleased smile on his devilishly handsome face.
It took me a minute to get my breathing under control but once I did I looked straight into his eyes and said, “You’re pretty proud of yourself aren’t you?”
“That I am, sweetheart. But that was just the appetizer. We will get to the main course soon.” Lyric leaned down and kissed my lips sweetly. “I want to hold you with nothing between us.” His eyes searched mine, waiting for my answer.
I arched my back a little and grabbed my tank top with one hand, giving him my answer. He helped me pull it over my head and then he slowly got out of the bed and dropped his boxers on the floor.
Holy shit.
My mouth went dry at the sight of him. As he moved back toward the bed I drank him in like a tall glass of water. He was perfection at its finest and my hands itched to touch every inch of him.
But he’d said he wanted to hold me and that was what he’d done. He turned me on my side and pressed his body up behind me like he’d been when I woke, but this time he was gloriously naked and my heart thumped rapidly in my chest. Then he kissed my bare shoulder.
“Go back to sleep.”
Sleep? Was he kidding? Who could sleep after all that and with my body ready for more? But as Lyric rubbed his palm up and down my arm, whispering sweet words into my ear, I found my body drifting off.
The last thing I remember was him saying, “You’re mine, Red.”
Sounded good to me.
* * *
I wokeup alone to his spicy male scent lingering on my sheets.
While I loved the heady smell, I didn’t love that Lyric wasn’t next to me.
Maybe he had gotten called into work or had to leave for another reason. Disappointment settled in that he wouldn’t say goodbye but I was sleeping like the dead so maybe he hadn’t wanted to wake me. I pulled the covers off and gazed down at my naked form.
A smile broke across my face and a shiver of excitement raced through me at the memory of Lyric coaxing the mind-blowing orgasm from my body. Then I sighed remembering how his body, sans any clothing, felt against mine.
I wanted my turn to have my way with him. To explore every valley of muscle, his fine ass, and to pleasure him as he had me. And I wanted to feel him inside me.
My cheeks flushed and I knew I needed to get out of bed to start the day, not lay there thinking dirty thoughts about a hunky cop. With one last intake of breath, I pulled Lyric’s aroma into my lungs hoping it would stay with me. Then I jumped from the bed and raced across my room to the bathroom.
Hopefully, Gramps and Jett weren’t starving, I was running a bit late.
I’d made quick work of my shower, tossed some jeans and a sweatshirt on, and threw my hair in a messy bun. With one last glance at my bed, another bout of disappointment that Lyric and I were still not in it, wrapped up in each other's arms, hit. Then I ran toward the kitchen.
And I stopped short.
Three pairs of eyes snapped to mine.
I guess the man who’d recently rocked my world hadn’t left. He met my gaze and with only that, heat pooled between my legs as butterflies took flight in my belly. I had to look away before I did something crazy like act like a cavewoman and drag him back to my bedroom to finish what we started.
But when I wasn’t looking at Lyric, I found myself looking at Gramps and Jett who sat at the table, heaping plates of food in front of them, and they were both smirking. I guess it was good they both liked Lyric since I wanted him to stay over more often. Grandpa hadn’t brought out the shotgun and Jett looked to be in a good mood which was shocking.
“Go sit, I’ll bring you a plate,” Lyric said to me, motioning to the table.
I’d taken him up on that but walked over to grab some coffee first. When I was right next to him at the stove I said, “Thank you, you didn’t have to cook.”
“I don’t mind and everyone needs to eat right?”
