And then his lips met mine.
He didn’t go stiff this time, well at least not all of him.
The kiss was soft and chaste as we tasted each other, savoring this moment of initial sweet contact. His hand remained on my hip, unmoving; my hand on his shoulder, unmoving. And though we were not hard against each other I thought I could feel his heart thundering in time with mine. Our bodies seemed to vibrate together, with the same intensity.
His hand slipped around behind me, and with the low-slung skirt, he pressed very low on my back, still flesh to flesh.
That simple movement caused a faint moan from me and I opened my lips to his. He responded in kind and our once modest kiss became hungry and deep. We’d moved from appetizers to the main course, and we were famished.
Legs!Auwei shouted at me.
It took all my effort to push away from him and break that contact. My eyes remained closed, lips still moving, remembering his taste and touch.
“Too much?” he breathed.
No.
“Yes,” Auwei said through me.
Hey!
I’m only doing what you asked.
I shouldn’t have been angry at her. I was angry at myself… but I was petty and redirected that anger at her.
It’s your life, Legs. Make this mistake if you like.
But you’ll regret it for eternity? It was a favorite saying of hers.
No, Legs. Not this one. This one you’ll regret. She sounded sad, disappointed.
Well… Pits!
“I understand,” Alvere breathed, but neither of us moved any farther apart, remaining so close; so very close. Even here, lips near but not touching, hot breath mingling, it was an intense experience. I wanted to taste him again, but I knew if I did… I’d not stop there.
For just a moment, I allowed that fantasy to play out in my mind. The rough, hard kiss as our mouths devoured each other. The needful press of his hands beneath my clothes: the grasp of a breast, the caress of my folds. He’d free his erection, barely even dropping his pants as I wrapped my legs around him, driving him deep within me. He’d take me, standing, pressed back to a bookshelf as we gasped and tried not to make too much noise, just in case anyone else was in the library. It would be so very intense, quick, and needful. We’d both reach a spike of heated passion as we released together, panting into each other’s mouths.
The vision was so real to me I had to press my legs together to restrain my arousal.
I gasped and finally pushed away from him, backing off a half step.
“I really hope,” I said between heavy breaths, “that we can continue this… later.” I brought a hand up to cup his cheek. “Iwantyou, Alvere,” I breathed.
“I want you too,” he said, eyes sparkling like gems.
“But now is not the time.” I pulled away from him and drew a long shuddering breath. “I hope we get a time,” I whispered.
“As do I,” he breathed. He swallowed hard. He took a long look at me then, as if trying to capture this moment in his mind. “I don’t think I’ll ever feel for anyone what I feel for you. I don’t care if I’m married or not, when you say you are ready, I will always be willing.”
Wow… just… wow.
I nodded, not sure I trusted myself to say anything, as I was on the verge of throwing myself back upon him. Then I carefully moved around him and walked away.
I had to find my own pleasure that night, and was confused as I imagined a slight man with me, inside me, needing me… yet the face on that man kept shifting from Alvere to Silence and in the end, I was left only frustrated.
Chapter 7
As you will see,for some of what is to come I was not there to witness it firsthand. I relied on accounts from others. So perhaps I should begin with some of those now…
