“I’m the king of pranks.” He smirked arrogantly.

“Nice to meet you, Tammy. Family of Pancakes, is family to me.” He opened his tall frame and hoovered over her.

He brought her in for a hug then turned to me. My heart sped up just as his arm wrapped around me to pull me against him. Like always, he inhaled me first, kissed my forehead, the bridge of my nose then the tip. Dreu’s eyes captured mine before pressing his full lips to mine.

“I love you, Jatavia.” He whispered against my lips.

“I love you too, Dreu.”

Dreu blinked once then stared at me like he could see my soul.

“I’m in love with you too.” He added.

I could feel it; there was no room for me to second guess it either. The intensity of his eyes locked in with mine. The way heheld on to me like he didn’t want to let go. He leaned down, took my lips again then slid his tongue over mine then under. Before pulling completely away he sucked my bottom lip then groaned like it was killing him to step away.

It was clear that we were stuck in love with each other. Our love language was touch. We couldn’t get enough of feeling each other up. This man adored me, spoke life into me, and also reassured me that my position in his life was solidified.

“I’ll see you later,” he let me go. “Tammy, take care of my girl.”

His back was now to me. I stood silent on the top step and watched him jog down the steps.

“Girlllll, y’all got it bad as fuck for each other. I’ll give it a month…shittt probably right this moment!” Tammy cut through my thoughts as I continued to watch Dreu jump in his truck.

“Right now, for what?” I finally looked at Tammy

“To be pregnant! Girlllll this city was hard to find. My Gps kept rerouting me and I see the fuck why. Breeze fuckin city.” Tammy yelled.

She stepped back to gaze around in awe.

“I love this for you, Tav. Like oh my goodness, this shit is nice as hell.” She continued to marvel around.

“I love it too, and he make me feel so welcomed to stay and be here.” I gushed out in awe myself.

“As the fuck he should with his rude ass.” She giggled.

I rushed forward and hugged her tightly. We both laughed uncontrollably. Tammy jumped up and down, her infectious energy transferred right into me. I smiled so hard my cheeks started to hurt.

“Girl I’m so happy you came out here, I don’t think I’m going back to Vegas.” I admitted happily.

For a second, we both looked at each other and laughed loudly again.

“I knew that the night you disappeared from my damn house. Vegas ain’t for you anyway. It’s barely for me, but I make it work since my business booms. I bumped into Devin the other day too by the way.” She rolled her eyes.

I turned towards the front door to let her in then closed it.

“Damnnnnn this shit is niceeeee!” Tammy looked around the front room.

“And I see you decorated; this got your name all over it.” She pointed to the fireplace.

I took a seat on the sectional couch because Tammy could ramble on and on when she was super excited. She walked around the front room and looked out the windows before she came back to sit across from me.

“Before we hit the mall, I’ll take you on a small tour of the house.” I promised.

“Yesss, can we smoke in here too?” She asked, opening her purse.

“Yeah, Dreu smoke all the time in here. It’s a drawer right there,” I pointed to the coffee table where Dreu kept his ashtray. “Get the ashtray out, but I’m not smoking with you until after we done shopping. I’m not trying to be too high out in public looking goofy as hell.” I told her.

“Not about to embarrass me at them peoples store, whispering like we in a damn movie.” She giggled.
