Brennon had put both hands on Rin’s ass and leaned in for a kiss as soon as their friends weren’t looking.

Like a fucking creep.

“Fuck me.” Rin shifted around so he could lean against the wall next to the door, sliding to the ground. He hung his head and pressed against his eyes when that caused a wave of dizziness to wash over him. This was bad. Real bad. They’d been in a crowded place, and with all the attention that had been on him, what were the chances no one had seen or seized the opportunity to snap a photo?

Thinking about it, he wanted to break his friend’s nose a second time, but that wasn’t even the worst part. If he was this angry, he couldn’t even begin to imagine how livid Kel—

“You’re late,” Kelevra’s voice interrupted Rin’s thoughts.

Blearily, he lifted his head, glancing over to find the door was now open and the Imperial Prince was propped up against the stile.

“And drunk, apparently,” Kelevra added once they locked eyes. “What’s wrong, Flower, needed liquid courage to get yourself to admit defeat?”

“Screw you.” He groaned and pressed to the spot that was thumping between his brow, trying, and failing, to lift himself from the ground. He stumbled and Kel caught him, steadying him against the opposite stile of the doorway.

The Imperial Prince left his hands on Rin’s waist, taking him in from head to toe.

“It’s been a week,” Rin complained. “Stop acting like you haven’t seen me in years.”

“It certainly feels like that,” he replied. “You kept me waiting longer than I expected.”

“That’s why you like me, right?” Rin snorted. “Gotta keep you on your toes. Keep things interesting so you don’t get bored of me and toss me out.”

Kelevra lifted a dark brow. “Is that so? That the conclusion you came to during our time apart, Flower? You decide from now on you’re going to,” he sidled in closer, voice lowering suggestively, “keep things interesting for me?”

“Back off.” Rin shoved him, and even though he was drunk, he wasn’t too drunk to note Kel let him put space between them.

Hewastoo drunk to think about why that might be, however. Or recognize the potential danger in that fact.

“You’re a real prick, you know that?” Rin wagged a finger at him in displeasure. “Vanishing so the whole damn city only has me to look at. The next person who offers to teach me how to show you a better time in the bedroom is getting their head held under a large body of water.”

Kelevra’s eyes narrowed, but Rin was too busy scowling at the recollection of this afternoon when he’d passed a group of senior guys at the university and they’d shot that one off to him. They’d thought they were original, but he’d already heard that offer from at least six other assholes.

“I should have fucked each and every one of them to prove—” His sentence ended with a curse as he was suddenly yanked into the penthouse, the door slammed shut behind him a split second before he was roughly shoved up against it.

“By all means,” Kelevra’s hot breath fanned against the side of Rin’s face, causing him to shiver, “keep talking. I dare you.”

“I….” He frowned. “What was I saying again?”

Kel chuckled darkly. “You were telling me how badly you missed me.”

Rin blinked and leaned to the side so he could meet his gaze. “I don’t think that was it.”

“No?” Kelevra feigned innocent. “Sure you weren’t just working your way up to it?”

Had Rin missed him? His gaze inadvertently dropped, lowering down the expanse of Kelevra’s torso, down to the slight bulge in his pants. “Why are you always so fucking flashy?”

He hated it. Hated it because he liked it. There was something attractive about Kelevra getting to be one hundred percent himself without holding back. He didn’t have to lie or pretend or hide behind a mask.

Rin wanted that.

The Imperial Prince was dressed in another one of his famous suits, though he’d done without the jacket and the shirt. The corset, some velvety material in pastel pink with glittery gold detailing, hugged his form as tightly as the matching pants. He wasn’t wearing any shoes or socks though.

“Were you getting ready for bed?” Rin guessed. His hand reached up and the next thing he knew, he was touching Kelevra’s curls. “You haven’t showered yet.”

Kel watched him closely, allowing him to run his fingers through his dark strands. “Is that an invitation, Flower?”

Rin scowled and dropped his arm. “You and I near water right now isn’t a good mix.”
