Ewen’s club.

Sasha Storm

You two have a ride?

Will Grigor

Ewen’s working.

Sasha Storm

I didn’t know you were a member.

Will Grigor

I am. Is that a problem?

Sasha Storm

No. You just didn’t mention it when we talked about it before.

Will Grigor

I’m a member because my brother gave me a membership. I’m queer, but not kinky.

Sasha Storm

I won’t hold that against you. Tell Ewen and Ollie I said hi. You guys have a good holiday.

“Looks like Aiden and I need to be extra careful, Hawk.”

He sighed, his eyebrows bouncing as he looked up at me. I lay my head back on the sofa and let my eyes close while I waited for Aiden. A nap would do me good. I didn’t know what Aiden meant by ‘heading your way.’ Even if he wasn’t in his car when he messaged, he should be here soon unless something went sideways with the team.

Since I needed to apologize, which rubbed me raw, I figured I’d do it Daddy style—make the boy come so many times he begged me to stop and didn’t remember his Daddy’s jealous moment, so a nap would rejuvenate me before he got here.

Buzzing tickled my consciousness. My eyes blinked open slowly, the room shrouded in darkness. The noise, somewhat muffled, bugged me enough that I groaned, but then it stopped, and I sighed, happy to let darkness claim me again. That floaty feeling washed over me and I drifted…

Aiden!

I sat up. My feet dropped to the floor, then I shot from the couch as if launched from a cannon. Spinning, I looked around, but Aiden wasn’t here. My eyes flew around the tables and floor looking for my phone. I’d been texting Will before dozing off.

“Hawk, find my phone.”

He jumped from the sofa, and there, between the cushions and the back of the couch, the tiniest corner of my phone peeked out. Snatching it up, I swiped open the screen. Dozens of missed calls and texts filled the screen.

Before I could open the app, my phone rang.

My brow furrowed.

What the fuck is he calling for?

“Mikal? It’s late…” I started, but Mikal interrupted.

“Thank God you answered,” Mikal gasped, his voice full of distress. His normally calm, steady rasp was anything but.

“What’s wrong, Mikal?” I asked.

“Aiden…”
