This time, she didn’t even pretend to be polite.“Freaking rotten rat’s ass.”She tossed the words over her shoulder as she stomped further into the house.“I hope you packed a suitcase full of blue pills,old man.I would hate to doze off mid-snore fest.”
Cooper’s unapologetic laughter cut through the air, but Rex’s voice followed her like a shadow, in a dry and amused tone that visually grated on her nerves if he read the glare correctly.His confidence was undeniable.
