“You brought my daughter back.”

I nodded, swallowing hard. I bit down on the inside of my cheek to keep from begging him to help me.

“I’m not going to hurt you, Sky.” He stopped advancing on me and frowned. “I can’t let you out, but I can keep you company until Rafe’s boys show up.”

“They..they said you were gone,” I stuttered.

Colt nodded. “I lost it when I saw you with that jackass,” he admitted. “They locked me up to keep me from hurting anyone. When they let me out, I went looking for you. By the time I tracked you to that hovel, you were already gone.” He snorted. “You’ve been a couple hours ahead of me the whole night.”

“You were looking for me?”

“Of course,” Colt said, raising a brow. “Do I really strike you as the type of Alpha to let the man he loves just walk away without trying to change his mind?”
