Elliot’s lips twitched. “Yeah? And?”

What the hell did he mean, and?

“It was fucking rude. He saw we were together.”

A mile or so passed before Elliot answered. “But…we’re really not, right? I mean, you made it clear from the start you wanted ‘friends with benefits,’ but you never said anything about being exclusive, which, if you do want to be, sort of defeats the whole point of what we’re doing. Just having fun.”

“All those words made my head hurt,” Win groused and braked for the traffic slowdown as they approached the Long Island Expressway.

Elliot huffed. “What I’m saying is, if we’re only friends with benefits and not really dating, it’s not fair for you to tell me you don’t want me to see other people. What if I meet someone who’s really into me? You can’t have your cake and eat it too.”

Panic welled inside him at the thought of Elliot dating and sleeping with other men. Why? He’d never thought of himself as a possessive man, but goddamn, he didn’t want anyone else touching Elliot or getting that bright, early morning smile that lit up his face. With a jerk of the wheel, he pulled over to the side of the road, turned on the hazard lights, and shut off the car.

“What’s wrong?” Elliot’s big eyes grew wide with alarm. “Why’re you looking at me funny?”

Seconds passed as he stared at Elliot. “You’re right. It’s not fair to you.”

“Oh.” Elliot chewed his bottom lip. Win’s pulse spiked, recalling its soft plumpness. “So you want to stop seeing each other?”

“I don’t remember saying that.”

“So what the hell are you saying?” Elliot tried to shift around to face him, but the seat belt impeded him, and with a grunt of frustration, he unclipped it. “What do you want?”

Disregarding all the voices in his head shouting at him to slow down, Win grasped Elliot by the shoulder. “You. I want you.” At the touch of Elliot’s lips, Win pulled him close. “Just you.”
