“I’m so happy that it is what you wanted. I have it all set up now, so if you want another, or a t-shirt, or anything doing, even amug I can do it for you.” The woman gives me a huge smile, and I can’t help but return it.
“You can do me another hoodie, to fit my old lady. But where mine says Breaker it will need to sayBabe.” The woman creates the invoice, and I pay upfront because that’s how she works, and I can’t wait for her to get it done. “I’ll be back later in the week if that is okay?”
“I’ll have it done in 48hrs so any time after that,” she says, and I look at her name badge, which stays Alicia.
I give her the cash. “Thanks, Alicia. I’ll see you later in the week. Oh, keep it a black hoodie.”
“Sure will,” Alicia replies and I quickly head out and back to the clubhouse.
Back at the clubhouse I take off my cut and place it on the table with brothers watching what I’m doing. Cannon walks over and peers into the bag I’ve started to open. Nudging him out of the way, I take out the hoodie, shake it out dramatically, then slip it on.
Now, I’m an asshole I know, and I rub this in their noses. Walking up and down the rec room as though I’m on one of those fashion walkways. Twist at the end and then walk back again. Brothers step closer and take a better look. Wraith grabs my arm and holds me still while he looks, and I can see he’s interested. In fact. They are all interested.
“What’s going on?” Whack asks as he walks into the rec room from the kitchen.
Wraith points to me. “This asshole has got himself a club hoodie. I want one of these; they're fucking awesome.”
Whack walks over and frowns right before he looks me in the eye. “Where did you get that?”
Now, I smirk knowing I’ve got something they all want. “Well, I found someone who does this shit, and she’s doing one for Molly too.”
Whack grunts, “Who wants one?” Everyone quickly replies they want one, and that all the brothers will want one. “See Breaker, he’ll sort it. Oh, get mine done too.”
“No, I’m not organizing this shit!” I panic, but when Pattie giggles, I give her a serious look, which knocks the smile right off her face. “Well, Pattie, you are it. You are the marketing person, so get marketing. The woman in the craft shop did it.” That’s all I say as I get the hell out of there and leave Pattie to it.
I head to the bar we’ve placed an offer on and am still waiting for the acceptance or rejection. The man who owns the place would be stupid to turn us down. I sit outside, and when I hear a hog approaching I look over my shoulder. Saddle pulls up and gives me a dirty look. “You are not supposed to be out on your own yet. Good thing I saw you leave, or Pres would be all over your ass.”
“I wanted to check what was happening at this place. By the looks of it, nothing at all.”
“Why don’t we speak with the realtor. Shove things along a little. I could do to let some aggression out.”
“Why’s that, Saddle? It’s not like you to feel that way,” I ask as I take a close look at him.
“Bri isn’t speaking to me. She’s pissed off that I’ve not stopped Julia from touching me. You know it’s nothing, and I know it’s nothing, but I thought Bri would know it’s nothing too. I justwanted to make her jealous and then have a fierce make-up session.”
I look at Saddle like he’s lost his mind. “What the fuck, man! Are you stupid!” I nearly shout because the shock of what he’s just said and the idiocy of it is simply a mind-fuck.
“I know, but I just thought it would be fun. I didn’t think Bri would take it to heart as she has. She won’t speak a word to me. I’ve tried talking to her, and she just looks through me and gives no response at all. What the fuck am I goin’ to do?”
“Well, in your shoes I would lock her in a room with me until she decided to get all her anger out. Then I’d fuck her six ways to Sunday until she’s right again.” I chuckle at my reply because it sounds like it could work.
“Right. I’ll do that as soon as we’ve seen the realtor.” Before I can respond Saddle has his helmet on, hog started and starts to pull away.
By the time I get to the realtor’s Saddle is already inside. Fuck, he must have smashed all the speed limits to get here this fast and already be inside.
“Find out what’s happenin’, we are not waiting any longer. He either accepts, or we take our cash somewhere else. NOW!” Saddle bellows the last.
The poor fucker rushes over to a phone and makes the call. The man is shaking, and I look at Saddle who is usually so calm, and see how unhinged he looks. Man, not speaking to Bri has really put him in a spin. “Calm yourself, Saddle. Let the man find out what’s happening.”
“I’ll tell him what’s happenin’. He either accepts it or we go find somewhere else to spend our cash. Fucking weeks we’ve been messing around with this prick.”
The realtor walks over and gives us a nod and tentative smile. “He accepts. I’ll get the paperwork to you within the next three days.”
“Right!” Saddle snaps and walks out. I give the man a shrug as I follow Saddle out to our hogs. I keep quiet because I don’t want to get on his bad side just at this minute.
I arrive back at the clubhouse, minus Saddle who headed to his house to sort out Bri once and for all. Well, that’s what he muttered to himself. Me, I think he’s going about it all wrong, and he shouldn’t have let one of the club girls touch him when he has an old lady.
Fury storms out of the clubhouse and stomps over to the picnic area. Throwing himself onto the top of a bench, he lifts his feet onto the seat. “You okay, Fury?” I ask, not really wanting to know because I’ve just left one miserable asshole and am not really in the mood for another.
