“Yep,” Yanna replied unapologetically. “I’mma show his ass he’s not the end all be all. I can have any nigga I want.”

“I don’t doubt that at all.”

“Anyway, since you in here, you might as well take some shots with me. I’m only about 20% of how fucked up I plan to be before the night is over.”

Kalil nodded, figuring if Yanna was going to be on some hot girl shit, it would be better if he was around to chaperone her. Smiling brightly, Yanna told Kalil to stay where he was so she could do another round on her customers before she got lost for a while. When she returned, she grabbed a whole bottle of Casamigos from behind the bar along with two shot glasses. For the next hour and a half, she and Kalil took shots and danced while he let her vent and talk shit about his cousin. He had half a mind to text Kas and tell him come to the club but knew it wouldn’t go well. Instead, he played devil’s advocate for his cousin while making sure to validate Yanna’s feelings at the same time. By the time they’d finished the bottle off, Yanna grabbed another and popped the seal.

“Girl, you trying to have me passed out in this muh’fucka.”

“Lightweight. That Casa wasn’t shit for real, but this Don Julio is for sure gone put you on your ass.”

Kalil shook his head then stopped abruptly as it began to spin. Figuring he needed to balance out the liquor, he pulled one of his pre-rolled blunts from his pocket and lit it. Though some establishments absolutely forbade it, a lot of clubs and bars allowed their patrons to smoke since weed was legal in VA. They figured if their customers were highanddrunk, they were more likely to purchase food and even more drinks. Just as they weretossing back their first shot of Don Julio, the club’s manager walked up with a less than pleased look on his face.

“Um, Yanna, can you please have your people hop off the bar? Especially while he’s smoking.” He spoke to Yanna but was glaring directly at Kalil.

“Nah, nigga I’m good. I like it up here,” Kalil responded, hitting the blunt and blowing the smoke in the manager’s direction.

“He’s leaving in a few minutes anyway, Byron.”

Byron nodded once and stomped off, looking way too uptight to be managing anyone’s nightclub.

Yanna tossed her head back, laughing loudly. “You gone fuck around and get me fired.”

“Fuck this job. Ain’t like you don’t work for a major record label.”

“Truuue.” Yanna sang then laughed again. “I’ll be back, let me go settle the tabs in my sections and make sure they’re all squared away.”

“Bet. I’m watching you too… shorts all in yo’ ass.”

In response to his comment, Yanna bent over and twerked, smacking her own ass as she did so. Kalil kept his eyes glued to her while she pranced around the club collecting tips and thanking all of her customers. When she arrived at a section full of guys, dread filled Kalil witnessing her bending over and dancing on one of the guys while he palmed her ass. Knowing his cousin would try to fight him if he’d known he was witnessing such and did nothing to intervene, he decided it was officially time to go.

“Let me go get her ass.” He voiced aloud before hopping from the bar and pushing his way through the club. He hoped it didn’t come to it, but he was prepared to drag Yanna out if he had to.

Yanna giggled to herself as Kalil dragged her off of some random dude’s lap. Hurt feelings made her even more carefree than usual, and she was determined to have a night to remember… or not. Looking at Kalil caused her laughter to intensify because he looked to be truly stressed out by her antics. She was having so much fun that she’d all but ditched her bottle girl responsibilities for the night.

“Ight, Yanna Boo, let’s go. Just come to the house and talk shit out with that nigga… you know y’all gone be back good within two days anyway.”

“Don’t call me that dumb shit, and I’ll die before I go running to his ass. No, fuck no. I’m done with Kas treating me like shit.”

“Man, get the fuck outta here with that shit. My cousin kiss the ground you walk on, even though you do all you can to push him away.”

“I thought you weren’t here to speak for him. I’m really not trying to hear it, so you can leave back out the way you came.”

“Yea, I bet you ain’t trying to hear it, and I ain’t going nowhere. Gotta keep an eye on you, make sure you don’t do no reckless shit you’ll regret in the morning.”

“I won’t be regretting any of the reckless shit I get myself into tonight. Trust me.” Yanna winked at Kalil before snatching her bottle of Don Julio from his hand and taking a swig.

Her phone vibrated in her pocket, and she pulled it out to see she had a waiting text message. A surprised smile crept onto her face when she saw who the message was from.

Trell : Yarra, wazzam witchu? I’m in the city, trying to link?

Yanna’s tongue hung from her mouth, and she did a little dance, fingers moving a mile a minute as she responded to the text.

I’m working at the club right now. Come fuck with me here, I’ll grab a section for you. I’ll drop my location.

Yanna turned the bottle to her mouth again as she waited for Trell to reply, the Machiavellian leer on her face widening when she read his response.

Trell: Bet, I’m close. Give me ten and bring two bottles of Don and shot glasses to the table.
