I don’t know if he’s truly sorry, but I’ll take it if he’ll leave now. “I’d like you to go now. Let me live my life, Lewis. You need to do the same. Think about what I said and just try to be content, at least.”

He steps around Keeton and down the hallway. I watch him walk away for a second but then look up at my big motorcycle hottie. “You love me?”

Chuckling he says, “You heard that?”

“I did.”

Nodding, he keeps smiling. “Good.” Moving closer, he’s a breath away. “Yeah, babe. I do.”
