Nathan leaned over and kissed me, his eyes never leaving mine as he spoke to Zane. “I’m feeling generous this morning, so let’s make a deal?”
“What kind of deal?” Zane eyed Nathan with suspicion.
Nathan kissed me once more, then stood. “I’m going to let you have this seat in exchange for a little help with a project I have going on.”
“Color me intrigued.” Zane’s eyes lit up. “I’m in.”
Lord, what was Nathan getting up to now? It could be anything from pranking an instructor to cold-blooded murder.
Nathan held the chair out for Zane. He sat, then dug into his plate piled high with breakfast, not worried in the least about what he’d volunteered for.
Zeke grabbed my chin, turning me to face him, as Nathan took the chair across from us.
“You need to eat, my treasure. Our first class starts soon, and I don’t want you to have to function on an empty stomach until lunch.” His sapphire eyes sparkled. “Now open up.” I was mesmerized by the deep rumble of his voice and opened my mouth at his command without a thought.
He popped a forkful of pancake dripping with syrup into my mouth. “Good girl.”
It was delicious. Some of the syrup ran down my chin from the large bite. I grabbed my napkin, but before I could bring it to my face, Zeke leaned forward and kissed my sticky lips, licking the syrup that had dribbled down my chin.
Zeke continually took me by surprise; his brand of sexy was lethal. I was going to have to start carrying extra panties in my backpack at the rate these men were going.
“Damn, Zeke’s got game. Why the hell am I turned on by another man kissing my woman?” Nathan asked no one in particular.
“Treasure?” Zane asked, puzzled. “What kind of nickname is that?”
I couldn’t take my focus off Zeke long enough to acknowledge them. He continued to stare into my eyes, “That’s what she is to me, a treasure. More valuable than any fortune found here or on any other world.”
I swallowed hard, this guy and the things he made me feel.
“Now eat, treasure,” Zeke told me once again.
So… I ate.
Chapter 15
Reverie
After leaving the cafeteria, we headed to our first class of the day… Aurathion History.
My parents taught me a lot about our people, but this class still intrigued me. I smiled ironically, especially when Oren decided to hijack it. Learning was always easier with a little eye candy added, not to mention the life-changing information being dropped.
Jet had already arrived and was surrounded by women, as usual. I couldn’t blame them because the tight black shirt he had on molded to his body, showing off all of those beautiful muscles.
I wanted to unwrap him like a candy bar and then lick every delectable inch.
For some reason, I assumed his involvement last night would change things. I guess I was wrong.
Sophie sat beside him, chatting animatedly. Jet didn’t engage in the conversation and seemed oblivious to the blonde on his left, who was rubbing her hand along his massive biceps. I could feel my blood pressure rising and couldn’t take my eyes off her hand.
Going up.
Then down his arm.
Chloe cleared her throat, and it snapped me out of my trance before I could embarrass myself.
Jet wasn’t mine, and clearly didn’t want to be. There would be no licking or unwrapping of the gorgeous man, at least by me. That thought wasn’t helping my blood pressure.
“Let’s take a seat before you maul Alice.” Chloe smiled knowingly.
