Jayden gasped as he turned. "You're changing your will?"

"Of course, darling." Wilson grinned before leaning down and pressing a kiss to Jayden's lips. "I need to put you and Will in my will in case anything happens to me." He certainly didn't want his ex-wife or mother getting the money.

Jayden's eyes rounded. "Wilson—"

Wilson reached out to shake Happy’s and Marc's hands. "It was nice meeting you. Jayden and I will be buying a house here in Cade Creek, so I'm sure we'll see each other again."

"Oh, do you know what kind of house you're going to buy?" Happy asked. "The one across the street from us is for sale." He turned to look at Marc. "You remember, Marc. It used to be Dr. Sutherland's house before he married Bear."

The deputy smiled. "I remember, Happy."

"We're not sure what we're going to get yet," Wilson said. "Although I'm leaning toward a horse ranch Lachlan Blaecleah told me about."

"You want to raise horses?"

"No." Wilson chuckled at the excitement on Happy's face. "I just thought it might be nice to own a couple. I want to go riding with Jayden."

"Oh, you can always ask Da if you can ride one of his horses. We take Joy out there all the time."

Wilson glanced between the two men. "Joy?"

Happy, Joy…and Marc?

Happy beamed with pride. "Our daughter. She's five."

"And you let her ride horses?" Jayden asked.

"Oh, she only rides Ginny," Happy said quickly. "Ginny is the gentlest horse Da has."

"Ginny?"

Happy nodded enthusiastically. "She's real good with kids."

Marc chuckled as he grabbed Happy's arm. "Come on, babe, we need to finish our errands, and Wilson and Jayden need to finish theirs. You can talk to them about horses later."

Happy smiled wide. "Okay, we'll see you around then." He walked off with Marc, chatting about horses and Joy and a dog named King.

Wilson shook his head as he opened the door for Jayden. "That Happy is something else, isn't he?"

"He's a good guy," Jayden said. "Instead of pocketing all that money from the sale of the diamonds, he's donating it to charity. I know of very few people who would be willing to do that. Most would simply take the money and live the high life."

That was true.

"What would you do?"

Jayden snorted. "Never accept the money in the first place. I don't need the headache."

Wilson chuckled. "Good choice."

He waited until Jayden climbed into the car then shut the door and walked around to the other side. He climbed in and started the car.

"Where are we headed now?" Jayden asked.

"Like I said, we have to go down to the courthouse to get the marriage license, and then we are going to see an attorney named Elijah James. He's going to help me revise my will. I want to make sure you're taken care of in case anything happens to me."

"Wilson, this is not a real marriage."

"Oh, yes, it is." Wilson was making sure of that.
