Terry started scrubbing the side of the ambulance again, not looking up until Will walked away. That had totally sucked. Will seemed like a good guy. He just wasn't the guy for Terry.

"What was that all about?"

"What?" Terry glanced up at Jonny.

Jonny nodded his head in Will's direction as he picked up a sponge. "That."

"Oh, it was nothing. He just had a few questions about Cade Creek." Terry considered telling Jonny what had happened, but he didn't want to embarrass Will any more than he already had.

"Well, the place isn't that big," Jonny said. "Explains why it wasn't a long conversation."

Terry chuckled. "Missing the big city lights?"

"Hell, no!" Jonny snickered as he started scrubbing. "I just wouldn't mind seeing a little more than this ambulance bay and the farm every once in a while."

Terry really didn't see what the problem was.

"So, have Russ take you out for a night on the town."

"Seriously, do you actually know how early a farmer goes to bed? I'm lucky if the sun has gone down." Jonny waved a hand at Terry. "And don't even get me started on how damn early he gets up. Just once I'd like to hear the roosters crow before his side of the bed grows cold."

"And that right there would be the reason I don't date farmers."

"Yeah, but he's sooo sexy in his flannel and tight jeans."

Terry laughed. "I wouldn't know. I haven't been looking."

Jonny's eyes widened. "Really?" He asked it as if he couldn't conceive of the idea.

Terry rolled his eyes. "Your husband is strictly off limits, even to drool over."

Granted, Terry had looked. How could he not? Russ Bozeman was a fantastic example of rough sexy male. He was pure testosterone and wet dreams. He was also very married, very much in love with his husband, and very off limits.

"I'm so sorry," Jonny said.

Terry frowned. "Why?"

"It must suck to be you."

Terry knew he had a huge grin on his face, but he couldn't help it. "Not really."

Jonny dropped his sponge.

Terry stared at the man as he picked it up and handed it over.

"You met someone," Jonny said.

Terry's grin broadened. "Maybe."

Jonny's eyebrow rose up. "Details, man. I want details. Hell, I want a name."

Terry opened his mouth to tell Jonny about Dan, but the sudden blaring of the alarm stopped him. Terry instantly went into work mode. He dropped the sponge into the bucket and moved the bucket over to the wall.

When he got back, Jonny was closing up the back doors to ambulance. Terry jumped into the front seat and turned the vehicle on. Jonny climbed into the passenger seat a moment later. He grabbed the radio and cued the mic.

"CCP97 reporting in."

"Possible 10-43 at the Rusty Nail Bar and Grill."
