They had a war to win. Werewolves were born to rule this world, and Axel wasn't going to let anything hold him back.
Chapter Ten
Axel survived a whole three hours before the restlessness in his chest became too uncomfortable to ignore.
It was a strange and unsettling feeling, the desperate desire to be around the woman he turned.
He didn't want her, not really.
Luke was wrong. The whole fated mates shit was just a way of explaining their animalistic nature, but the wolf inside him craved her company.
It was messed up, but Axel couldn’t think about anything else.
He needed to feel her skin, to breathe in her scent, to taste her lips, to feel her shudder around his cock as she came.
"Fuck," Axel cursed. He was going mad.
He put on his jacket and slipped out of the house, hoping to make it to the forest to transform for a run, but instead he arrived at a park a few blocks from the house.
He saw her immediately, rummaging through a bin before unearthing a half eaten sandwich with a triumphant grin. Shewas dressed in the same shirt and skirt from the day before, smudges of dirt staining the fabric.
No fucking way, Axel thought to himself. Out of every female werewolf on the planet, fate had decided to give him this one. Perhaps it was his punishment for all the mayhem he had committed.
Axel shuddered as Deepa unwrapped the plastic around her find, and he couldn't take watching any longer. His body moved without thinking, snatching the garbage out of her hand.
"Hey!" she protested, eyes widening with shock, but then her gaze settled on him, the shock morphing into fury. "Give that back!"
"No!" Axel snapped, holding it out of her reach. "You're not eating this shit."
"Then what the fuck am I supposed to eat?"
"Anything that didn't come out of the trash."
"Give it back!" she growled.
"No," he snapped, his own anger growing. "It's disgusting."
"It's food," she shot back, reaching for the sandwich. "I'm starving."
"You want food," he hissed. "I'll get you food."
"Why the fuck would you do that?"
"Because you're not going to be fucking sick."
"Give it," she hissed, her fingers clawing at his skin, trying to pry his hand open, but Axel flung the sandwich as far away as he could, sending it flying over a nearby fence.
"Fuck you!" Deepa shouted, her face turning red with rage.
"You're more than welcome to," Axel shot back.
Deepa's expression contorted with disgust. "In your dreams."
"You were last night," Axel retorted. "No wait... pretty sure we were both awake for that."
Deepa looked ready to punch him and Axel was prepared to duck, but she surprised him by spinning on her heel and marching away.
"Where the fuck are you going?" Axel yelled after her.
