He'd heard that Ariel changed assistance often, and he was sure that Cally didn't know everyone on this team. That was alright because they had a day, and he would probably meet each one of them at some point.Ariel had contacted him and told him she wanted to discuss some things that might not be in the pack alphas' newsletter. It was lunchtime, so they would meet in his meeting room to discuss these things. Her team would be present, and a few of his people would be present as well.Cally seemed pleased that he wanted to know what was going on and how he could help.He wasn't sure why she was surprised that was the case.

Cally led the way to the meeting room, where they all took seats.“Lunch will be coming.”She'd no sooner said that than there was a knock at the door and lunch was brought in for everyone.

Once, they had been placed on platters, with several sandwich choices and two soups.Drinks were also set up on the table, with a bucket of sodas and two pitchers of tea: one sweet and one unsweet.Everyone seemed hungry, since the sandwiches disappeared in a few minutes, and the drinks weren't far behind.Just moments later, there was another knock, and someone brought in cupcakes, cookies, and two medium-sized cakes, one set on each side of the table. He was pleased with the job that his cousin had done, especially since they rarely had this kind of company.

“First, I hope to talk about the problems that you have been having while you were setting up your business,” Ariel mentioned.

He was happy to have someone interested in what had happened, and he quickly explained everything that had happened since the first event. He also explained the conclusions they had drawn and that they weren't sure that was what was going on.

“Your conclusions are correct, and these are the same people who have been bothering Tyne’s other businesses. They are racists, and we need to deal with them.Unfortunately, I doubt that we will be dealing with them entirely, but we can slow them down.”Ariel explained.

“Do you believe they are spread out in other locations, and that is why we cannot deal with all of them?Or is it because they are so well-financed and are finding personnel easily?”

Ariel smiled.“It is both of those reasons that I fear that we will have to take them on one step at a time.Since we are here, this is the place to begin, since there will be a bit of a war. You've said they've not been active for a week or more, so we need to find out where they are hiding.”

There was a loud noise, and a young, pretty girl appeared. His mate jumped up and ran to her, giving her a hug. That made him conclude that this was Harry the witch.

His mate dragged her over to him.“This is Harry.Harry, this is my mate, Carlos.”Cally said.

Harry winked at him.“Not bad, girlfriend.”She elbowed his mate.

“Not bad at all.”Cally offered.

“What's going on here?”

“I summoned you because we need to find someone or several someones,” Ariel explained.

The talk continued, and he felt better knowing that someone was trying to help. The problem is currently contained, but he knew it could quickly become overwhelming. They hadn't been attacking his other teams, but he had a bad feeling that they would eventually get enough people to start doing so.If they did, some of them would quit, and then they would face the same problem of being unable to keep up as before. He glanced at the other side of his mate and saw Harry there eating an unbelievable amount of food.At least there wouldn't be any leftovers. The feeling he had when he looked at her was that she was nice and that she would only take out bad guys.Since he had a feeling they would have her come visit, he hoped his feeling was right.

There was also the fact that all the white wolves seemed to love Harry, and his mate was no exception. With all that he had heard about her, he had a feeling that she could solve their problem with all the help that they would give her. That little witch looked so innocent that he found it hard to believe that she was so powerful.Yet, he had heard enough about her that he knew that she was a strong witch. No one in this room seemed to have a problem with her, but when the servers came in to deliver food, they all acted cautiously and kept their distance.Maybe they were sensing the power that she had and the magic that she could do.

They had no choice, and when the time came, and Harry was needed, she would be sent for and do the job as required. He was an alpha, and he would manage to stay calm, cool, and collected.Magic scared him, and that was no lie that he could deal with it when it was necessary. As soon as the meal was over, Ariel called Harry to her and the witch did what looked like a magic trick. There was fire and what looked like a little green goblin, but an address appeared, and that was where the human racists were hiding.Maybe this would solve the problem? No, he wasn't an optimist, and he was sure that it would take more than just this.

He was a pragmatist, and he called together a dozen of his soldiers and sent them to the address to deal with whatever was there. He couldn't deny that he was pleased when Harry suggested that she go with them.Carlos told his team leader that the witch would be going with them, and with the look on his face, it was amazing that he didn't pass out.Harry flashed them all away, and he was sure that that probably scared the devil out of them.Carlos would laugh, but he had a feeling his time was coming soon.

It was hard to deny that he felt guilty for sending his men out.Normally, he went with them.Harry would protect them; he was sure of that, but she would also scare the hell out of them.Things were changing in the paranormal world, and they might as well get used to witches now.She and others like her would probably be around more now that they were all allies.Vampires were another thing his people needed to get used to, but one thing at a time. He'd been around all kinds of paranormals in the past because his father had sent him to meetings that they were involved in when he was younger.Carlos had a feeling it was because his father had not been comfortable around any of the other kinds.

This he understood because his wolf had run and hidden the second he'd seen Harry, and she looked innocent even though he knew she wasn't.What would happen if they came up against one of those tough, ugly witches? That might have happened when they went to work with the wardens, because he had heard that those witches often worked for the bad guys.Carlos would work with his wolf and try to get him to understand that Harry and certain other different paranormals were on their side.Right now, with his wolf hiding to the point that he couldn't communicate with him, he wasn't sure how that was going to work.

Cally moved her hand to his leg and rubbed it.She seemed to realize that something was bothering him, and she was trying to reassure him.She didn't have the fluid magic that Harry did, but she did have an artifact that helped protect her from it.That was something he needed to get, too. That was something he might need to talk to Harry about because he had heard that she made very good artifacts. There were other witches she could work with to make very strong ones.Protection was something he needed to protect his people. He'd even heard that these human racists sometimes hired witches to help them with their plans. What kind of sense did that make? Were paranormals all bad until you needed one to help you with something?

One of the witches had figured out what they were doing, and she had turned on them as she should. That had made them a little leery of recruiting paranormals in their fight against paranormals. He wished he could stop thinking about this, because right now his mind needed to be on the ceremony they would go through tomorrow and on his lovely soon-to-be bride.Cally was so beautiful, and he wanted to claim her in every way that was possible, and to Morrow would be the beginning of that. There would also be a ceremony in a paranormal sense, and anyone who had not made it to the wedding would have a chance to attend.

It was hard for him not to imagine what she would look like coming down the aisle in a beautiful white dress and putting her life into his hands.Maybe that was the whole purpose of this ceremony, to let him think about what their life could be like, and he could already imagine the children that they would have.Little girls who look like her and miniature alphas who would follow in his path.

“I bet you're thinking about the honeymoon.”Harry winked at him.

“Maybe a little bit, but I'm afraid the real honeymoon won't come till later.”

“You've got problems, and I've got solutions.”She offered.

“One of those problems is that they're active and then they're not. We're not sure what they're doing or when they'll attack next.”

“I could stay for a little while.Cally is one of my best friends.”

Cally nodded in agreement.“Harry would love the food here.I think you'd also appreciate how funny she is.”

“You think you would be willing to go out in the field after the wedding?”
