“I can’t wait to see what’s next.Am I dressed alright?”Cally asked.

He gave her a once-over.“Casual, just like I suggested. You’re perfect.”

Cally was in well-worn jeans, an old T-shirt, and tennis shoes.

“Let’s go.We’ll take my truck.”

“I’m ready.”She said with a wink.

They headed out and drove a few miles. This was an outside location, and as soon as Cally saw it, she smiled.

“This is a high rock wall, and I have a hard time finding one like this.Do you want to race to the top?”

She asked as she pulled on a helmet, gloves, and a harness, then snapped it to a line that hung from the top of the wall.He did the same, and then they began to climb. She was fast and kept up with him even though he went full speed ahead.Carlos beat her, but not by much. They dropped quickly and removed the gear.

“I enjoyed that.”She admitted.

“I did too.Now we are going to do the next thing.Let’s get in the truck.”

He drove them to a place in town.It was an art gallery that also sold pictures. They walked through it and looked at many beautiful pictures.

“Did you enjoy this?”He asked.

“I did. There are lots of talented painters, and I even recognized some of those paintings.”

“I should have realized you have cousins who paint.”

“Many of my cousins are talented in one way or another,” Cally admitted.

He pulled up to a small lake.“This is Lake Wolf.”

Carlos handed her a bag of corn. There were ducks on the lake, and she threw them corn.He watched her as she watched them, and she smiled a lot.Two of the ducks fought, and one flew away only to circle back when the other one wasn’t looking.

“Tell me when you’re hungry.Cook packed us lunch.”

He spread a tablecloth on the picnic table nearby and began to unload the picnic basket. So far, he was sure she’d enjoyed the day.
