When he disappears down the hall, we hear,“You have failed me for the last time,”sending me into another fit of giggles, though I try to cover my mouth with my hand.
“Great.” Patton drags his hand over his face. “My dog has bonded with a Sith Lord sex toy. Probably because it smells like you.”
His words melt more of the ice that’s been thawing for quite some time now, and I know, even though I haven’t spent much time with his sweet dog, that I’m going to fall hard and fast for him.
