“But we always watch that. Besides, that’s a girl movie. We want to watch this one,” Keith said.

“No!” Haley sounded like a screaming fit was imminent. “We always watch that. I want to watch this.”

“Hey… hey… hey…” Quinn made sure his voice was stern. “What’s going on in here?”

All three kids started to talk at once, and though Quinn attempted to keep up, he was fighting a losing battle.

“One at a time,” Quinn said. “Haley, what’s wrong?”

“She always goes first,” Keith said.

“Yeah… she always goes first,” Leo agreed.

Quinn tried to hide his smile. He arched a brow towards the boys, and their mouths snapped shut, then he focused back on Haley.

“I want to watch this one,” she pointed at the TV screen. Quinn didn’t even have to look to know what it would be.Frozen.

His little girl had a big grin, showing her two missing front teeth.

“Well, you already know all the words and songs, so how about we watch something else?”

Haley shook her head. “It’s my favorite.”

Yes, we know.

He turned to Keith and Leo. “What’d you want to watch?” Quinn asked.

Keith and Leo looked at each other, then him.“Star Wars.”

“No.” Haley folded her arms.

Quinn smiled. “I have an idea. Let’s look and see if there’s a movie we all want to watch, or Daddy will have to pick one.”

He got on the floor with his kids, took the remote from Haley, and started flipping through Disney +. He openedToy Story 4,The Lion King, andDumbo. He looked at them when he stopped at each one.

At first, the three of them didn’t look pleased by his compromise, but then they started vetoing each movie he stopped on. The doorbell rang, so he gave the remote to Leo after telling them to behave, and let the triplets go through their movies, then went to get the pizza. He pulled his wallet from his pocket and opened the door.

“That will be $28.90,” the young man at the door said.

Quinn pulled out some money and handed it over, grabbing the pizza boxes from him. “Keep the change,” he smiled.

“Have a nice night.” The guy grinned before turning and leaving.

“You too.” Quinn closed the door behind him and took the pizza to the kitchen, then went to the living room where the kids were a lot calmer than they were before the pizza arrived. “Did you settle on a movie?” Quinn asked.

“Yes.” Haley looked at her brothers, and they both nodded.

Quinn hid his smile at how serious they were taking it. “So what will it be?”

“The Incredibles.”The three of them shouted it in unison, and he smiled.

“Good choice,” Quinn said. He loved the fact that the kids could compromise, even if it took a gentle push. “Sounds good. Let’s go get our food and water and then movie time.”

“And after we can watchFrozen?” Haley sounded hopeful

He heard Leo and Keith groan, which made Quinn chuckle. He knew his kids enough to confidently say they wouldn’t make it to a second movie, so he wasn’t going to have to worry about it. They each grabbed their plates and put a slice of pizza on, then hurried back to the living room. Quinn got the jug of water and plastic cups out. He put the cups under his armpit and then grabbed his own plate before going back into the living room.

“Haley, help Daddy with his plate.”
