Nickolas

The next few weeks passed with Nickolas spending a lot of time with Jai. Most evenings after work if he had no family obligations, he spent with the omega. He had to admit they were the best times he could remember having in recent history.

Tonight he was taking the omega out again, he knew it was always a risk, possibly running into someone he knew, who would mention Asa to Jai but he actually wanted to wine and dine him. Show Jai how much he valued him. How important he was in his life. Since the moment he had met the omega, he had not touched another soul. One of his lovers had called him a couple of nights ago and Nickolas had told him he was no longer available for meetups like they used to have.

He was turning into a one omega alpha. Technically.

The more time he spent with Asa, the more he felt like he was suffocating whenever his parents mentioned their upcoming nuptials. It couldn’t come as more of blessing the fact Asa had decided on a spur of the moment trip. He had decided to go skiing in Switzerland with some of his friends and Nickolas was relieved.

Nickolas knew some people would argue he was enjoying the newness of sexual desire with Jai, but it wasn’t always sex. If it was, Nickolas would have treated him like his former lovers. He would not have spent whole nights with him, watching movies the omega liked or listening to him talk about things that Nickolas would usually have paid no attention to.

He’d told Jai that they would be leaving from the office. Nickolas’ PA had told Jai to meet him at the side entrance, where the car would be waiting.

Nickolas looked over Jai as he got into the car that evening. As usual, to Nickolas, Jai was perfection. He pulled Jai close to him, running his fingers through Jai’s bright red hair, and claimed his lips with an urgency borne of familiar hunger whenever he was around the omega.

“Are you hungry?” Nickolas asked thickly, releasing Jai.

Jai nodded, looking at Nickolas with his eyes hooded and glazed.

“For food,” Nickolas said, laughing. “As much as I would love to feast on you, I made reservations.”

“Oh. That’s nice.” Jai said, not sounding particularly excited about their outing.

“Don’t you want to go out? It’s one of the best restaurants in town.” Nickolas asked.

“I’d rather spend time with you,” Jai said shyly, “I don’t mind cooking. I would love to cook for you.”

“Oh.” Nickolas wasn’t sure what to say to that. Had anyone who wasn’t employed by him for that specific task ever cooked for him?

“I mean… If that’s okay. I don’t have to,” Jai stammered.

“No. I mean, yes. You just took me by surprise. You really want to cook for me?” He asked again.

Jai nodded, “Yeah. It probably won’t be anything fancy like you’re used to, but I make a mean red sauce, and we can have it with pasta, and maybe garlic bread. If we stop at the store I can get the things quickly.” Jai added, sounding happier than he had when he thought they would be dining at a restaurant.

“No need. I have a fully stocked pantry. And I would love it if you cooked for me. Thank you.” Nickolas said, placing a chaste kiss on Jai’s lips.

Nickolas sat back and picked up his iPad getting back to the document he had been reading. Without looking at Jai, he joined his free hand with Jai’s, and went back to work, but not before telling his driver, “Change of plans Robert. We’re going home.”

“Yes, sir,” Robert replied.
