“You are a real pain in the ass, you know that?” The intruder asked in frustration.

“Sounds like something my father would say.” Gordy said, trying to get the man talking so he could buy time for Gunner and Jamil to get to them. “So what, my father offered you a butt ton of money to have me give him the flash drive and then have you kill me?”

“Well, it was your father that called me in, but it’s your mother who wants her flash drive back and you dead once and for all.” The man said, shocking the shit out of Gordy.

“My mother? What the fuck does my mother have to do with this?” Gordy gasped.Language Gordy, language. He said to himself, then focused on what the prick in front of him was saying.

The man laughed, “You really have no clue do you?”

Gordy must have stood there looking like a dumbass, because the guy said, “Your mother and father have been running a call girl and boy agency for years. It’s how you were able to live so high and mighty all your life. Your mother is the brains and your father the brawn.”

“You’re a liar. My mom would never do that.” Gordy snapped.

The man laughed again, “Why? Because she seems so quiet? Haven’t you ever heard it’s not the dog that barks you have to watch out for, but the one lying on the porch staring at you? You have no fucking clue how ruthless your mother is. She’s in charge of finding the meat to be cooked up and your father purchases it.”

Gordy saw Gunner peek under the railing. However, he had to know what the hell was really going on here. “I don’t even understand what you’re trying to say. Just spit it out so we can get this over with.”

The prick started talking, “Your mother finds who she wants and your father goes and gets them. He might buy them or just snatch them from the streets, but what your mother wants she gets. Your mom is the head of the entire organization. Your father is the one that takes out the competition and does all the heavy lifting for your mother. Your mother had hidden that flash drive in the cookbook. When she was told you had taken it, she ordered us to find you, get the drive back and kill you. None of us thought you’d be so hard to locate. We caught a break. One of the clients, Marceli Pasteli…” Gio gasped, but the fucktard kept talking…damn, who knew stress and terror would bring out the potty mouth in me.“…started talking about how he had finally found his son in a place called Drago. My men are good… the best actually, and he found this tiny town. He hacked into the system and imagine his surprise when we see that a man named Gordy became a resident there at the same time you disappeared from your home. We knew we couldn’t get in and had to wait for you to come out. It took forever and then finally your friends started sending emails about their plan to get you out of Drago for a blind date. It still pisses me off that you guys killed my buddy Hondo, but hey, we know the deal and he got sloppy. And then your ass went ghost.”

“How did you find me here? It isn’t like this place is on the D.O.A. radar.” Gordy said with a sinking feeling.

Smiling, the bastard said, “Social media. You logged into your Facebook account. It didn’t take long for my man to follow the trail straight here. Now the time for talking is over. Give me the drive.”

“I don’t have it here.” Gordy said anxiously.

“I’m not bluffing. Give me the flash drive or I will kill the dragon first and then your friend.” The ass hat snarled. “And if you think your fuck toys are going to help, think again. Not only is there a sniper out back, but there are two more men in here besides myself.”

“There might be two more men inside this house, but the man outside isn’t going to be a problem.” Gunner snarled as he came into total view.

Just as Cobra reached the attic a blur rushed towards him and another came from the other side of the room. Gio shouted, “Watch out!”

Gunner and Cobra were rolling on the attic floor punching at what seemed like thin air, but from the grunts, Gordy could tell there was a person. When Gunner rolled he was sitting on top of someone no one else could see until it flickered, and suddenly, a huge fucking man stood where no one seemed to be before.

A loud crash had Gordy looking up to see Cobra sliding down the wall and another large man going for him.

Gordy yelled, “Gio, your powers! Damn it, when are you going to use your powers?”

Gio seemed to snap out of his stupor and held his hands high swirling them around. Boxes, old clothes and other articles started to fly around the room as the man going to Cobra was lifted off his feet and was swinging in circles.

Gunner was on his feet with the other man dangling in the air as Gunner’s hand was wrapped around his throat. He tossed the man towards the guy swirling in a circle, and damned if the guy wasn’t flailing around with his buddy.

Gordy was so intent watching what was happening with the others, he had completely forgotten about the original attacker. The next thing he knew he was being grabbed and a knife was being stuck to his throat. “Back the fuck up and get your ass out on the roof now.”

“Do as he says, my mate. I promise you and our child will be fine.”Jamil said, using their link.

Gordy made his way to the window. The ass hat didn’t have a choice but to let Gordy go, so he could climb out, and just as the fucktard started out of the window, Jamil grabbed him by the shoulders and started to fly up.

Not giving up, the attacker used his knife to slice Jamil’s foot. Jamil dropped the asshole and he fell to the roof.

Gordy pulled the gun out from behind him and aimed. He had never used a gun before and when he aimed and pulled the trigger nothing happened. The asshole rushed towards Gordy snarling, “You need to take the safety off, stupid ass.”

“Who needs a gun when you have me?” Jamil snarled, taking one of his large spike claws and slashing.

Gordy watched in horror as the guys head left his neck and rolled onto the roof.
